Went there personally to order To Go for the first time; was a relatively pleasant time and the gentleman who was helping was very helpful and communicative. Tried to order on the phone for pickup a few days later, and the person on the phone had a heavy Asian accent and could not communicate with me at all. Didn't even bother trying to order with her and just hung up on her after realizing that she can barely understand me, who knows if she would get my order correct.

I used to be a semi-regular 30 years ago. Somehow, it tastes and smells the same in there. I had the lunch special. It's just as delicious as I remember from when I was a kid. I think even the nice little old lady at the counter is the same, although I can't imagine how that's possible given how much time has passed, maybe she's her daughter? This place is a time warp back to a simpler time and all the feelings are good for me with this place, comfort food...
The teriyaki sauce was a little sweet, but rich and delicious. The salad and yakisoba served as side dishes were also tasty and the owner (Japanese) was friendly. It was rare to see Japanese people around the OC.
