I recently visited Poncho’s Tacos, and as taco enthusiasts, we like to compare street asada tacos from various spots around Southern California. The service at Poncho's was friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant experience. The carne asada was flavorful and had a generous portion, though it was a little on the chewy side. The medium red salsa was excellent and definitely a highlight of the meal. While the tacos were good, I’d probably try other places before...
The best taco that they had were the pastor, and even better as a vampiro. Lengua is chewy, asada is dry and the birria did not taste like birria. The cheese is also not the best, barely melted.
So good! My daughter and I stopped by today. The tacos were so tasty and freshly made. I got fish, shrimp and pastor tacos. We also got chips and guacamole, which we loved. Great spot and friendly staff.
