One of the worst lunches I've ever had. I ordered the club sandwich. Normally a club sandwich has 3 slices of toasted bread, turkey, bacon, and sometimes avocado or ham. This sandwich had only two slices of bread that was toasted within an inch of it's life. The sandwich had no mayo and was so dry I could barely eat it. There was no bacon, and the ham and turkey tasted like cheap grocery store lunch meat. I downed my glass of ice water trying to choke the dry sandwich down. The server never returned to our table to refill water, or ask if we needed anything. I can't believe it cost me $20 to eat half of an awful sandwich. To top it all off, I had to wait in line 5 miniutes to pay. I'll do my best to never go there again. On the positive side, the decor with vintage coffee pots was interesting.

Service was terrible, the server didn't know the menu, didn't come to the table. I have to asked someone else for service. Food has a weird flavor, I didn't finish my meal. It was my first time there and I won't visit again.

I can’t believe how huge the menu is and everything is so delicious! We shared a Thai salad (fresh, great flavor, love the veggie selection) and a bleu cheese portabella sandwich that was out of this world.

My wife her chicken salad sandwich and my favorite is the pasta, chicken w garlic in white sauce. We tried the bloody Mary's which are very good and price is reasonable. Service was great. Extensive menu, like 15 pages...so you will not doubt find something to enjoy. Dip of the day and chips for a $1. Worth a visit...

A must-visit dining destination in the heart of Fullerton!
From the moment we walked in, the vibe at Rutabegorz was inviting. We were seated quickly, and our server was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The food arrived promptly and was prepared just right. We ordered the Elizabeth’s Tostada Salad and the Tuna Wrap, and both were fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with intentional, high-quality ingredients.
Rutabegorz has an impressively eclectic menu that goes far beyond typical cafe fare. You will find a wide range of options including hearty soups, creative salads, sandwiches, wraps, fresh pastas, and house specialties like enchiladas and vegetarian-friendly burritos, along with plenty of vegan and gluten-free choices. There is truly something for everyone, whether you are vegetarian, health-focused, or just looking for a satisfying, well-crafted meal.
What makes this spot even more special is its history. Rutabegorz has been a beloved Orange County institution since 1970, originally opening as a cozy coffee house before growing into the full-service restaurant it is today. That sense of community and warmth still comes through in both the food and the service.
It is easy to see why locals and visitors alike continue to return. Friendly service, consistent quality, and a creative menu make Rutabegorz a standout. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in Fullerton.

Haven't been in a few years we our out of the area. We drove there because we were wanting our old favs. We ordered what we normally use to our favorites.
The chef must have changed the recipe it was literally slop. Quinoa bowl was a hot mess, Seafood Enchiladas. Terrible. Sea food Enchilads use to be with red Sauce, there was none. The waitress never came to refill our drinks until we asked for a to go cup.
Margaritas was awesome ordered 2.
Very disappointed!!!!

Originally a small coffee shop just off the beaten path, this hidden gem is now a full-fledged restaurant with a varied menu made with fresh ingredients and plenty of healthy options. The vibe is great in this historic building, but don't miss the patio out back -- good service inside or out. Save room for some apple pie a la mode to finish your meal. Epic! Street parking and nearby lots/structure.
