I went there few weeks ago , the food was good, delicious, ordered my favorite dish Vegetable Navratan kurma G , the place was clean, MOST of all my server Cophilly gets the 5 stars from me. She is awesome, she is so knowledgeable, respectful, fast and kind to customers. she treat you like she wanted to be treated , I sure enjoy eating there when she swerves me. she deserve a good pay.

So this place is just crap selling whole bunch of unprofessional people. I ordered some dosa and Vada combo pickup. On phone. When I reached the food was not ready and then I guess the owner or the manager coz (i see his picture in answering at reviews) started arguing with me and started using bad words. Anyway I waited for 27 mins while they cooked the food and was thinking I ordered a masal dosa and Idli combo what was confusing as the owner said he was confused. Anyway we decided to eat it there as it was already late so me and my sister opened the food to find that Dosa was warm but Idli and Wanda was ice cold. We again called that weird guy and he looked at my face and said nothing but stared at food and us. He then mumbled something and and asked his staff to changed the wada in really rude words and gestures. What a peace of crap owner. Anyway they served us hot wada which was very oily looked not fresh but I still decided to take a bite as he said it's fresh now. It was stale and I think microwaved. We did not continue eating it. About Dosa it was tasteless and not cooked properly. Sambhar was just watered and no spices at all. I have been to other Indian food places but NOT SHITY FOOD and Potty Mouth OWNER LIKE HIM. I see in other reviews too where he is very rude in answering people if they do a honest rivew and point out his mistakes. This is the place which we all should avoid and I want the restaurant to be closed down. In fact my sister told me that she bought a mango lasse before and her stomach was upset after drinking that. Dhandu S please stop selling crap food and please go to a school to learn some etiquettes - that how to talk to your customers. Bad food ducking stupid staff and owner so stay away from this junk selling restaurant.

Ambience: very clean and neat Staff: super friendly Serving time: average. If they get crowded the serving time will be much longer Bathroom: unisex. Clean. Parking: ample spaces Ordering: simple and easy Kid friendly: kind off Prices: $$ Food: we ordered combo 2 with onion dosa, gobi manchurian and bangalore street side chaat, salt lassi and mango lassi. Mango lassi was thick but was flavorful. Salt lassi was very tasty. Idli was average. Medhu vada was okay. Onion dosa had too much onions, but dosa tasted good. Coconut chutney was good. Sambar was okay. Gobi manchurian medium spice was in itself spicy for our taste. But it was crispy and tasty and tasted fresh. Bangalore street side chaat was too bland and tasted like poori pieces over dal and very disappointing. Overall i would go there once more to try their other dishes. All the dishes were definitely fresh. Atleast to support their effort, i would go again.

NOT FOR PEOPLE LOOKING FOR AUTHENTIC INDIAN TASTES! INDIANS IN THE INDIAN COMMUNITY WHO WANT FLAVOR go somewhere else. My Indian family walked into this restaurant hoping to get some authentic South Indian food after having a long day. We drove 30 + minutes after getting a recommendation from someone else and decided to take the chance looking at the name thinking it would be like Saravana Bhavan or Bhimas. It was not. We were quite disappointed and frustrated after eating here. -they DON'T HAVE CHAI OR COFFEE on their menu and they are a "CAFE" like what?! We were having a hard time with that -once we got the food we began tasting it and EVERY curry was watered down. We ordered the combo with the curries and had sambar (lentil curry), palak (spinach curry), the tikka masala, and chickpea curry. The tikka tasted like a sweet tomato soup! The palak tasted very bitter, and everything felt SOO watered down -they said they couldn't make the Vada bc they made the bhatura/puri and the oil was too hot SO THEN WARN US BEFOREHAND AND BEFORE WE PAY! -POSITIVE the dosa was good! Servers are very kind and friendly. - also after I voiced my concerns to the head chef/manager and a mother with her little son heard me, she started to complain that the food (the Vada) was spoilt so she didn't eat it at all. If you want to try Indian food and want a mellowed down, Americanized, kids friendly version of Indian food-not looking for authentic flavors and spices (by spice i mean flavor not heat) then this may be a good option for you. I genuinely mean that without any sarcasm. Seriously. But if you are in fact looking for that true complex Indian flavor that does justice to my culture and community, please go somewhere else. You will be disappointed if you are going here for the latter hope.

Great Masala Dosa. Only negative would be that it took long time for our food to arrive.

Delicious vegan and non vegan Southern Indian delicacies. Anyone who's in search of the perfect dosa should not miss this place!

Ordered Combo - Masala dosa & Spring dosa with 1 idli and vada each. Smelled so good as it came to our table that I forgot to take pics. Tasted even better... just that sambhar is not enough to eat the combo. Highly recommend the place!!

I went to Saivam Cafe during a trip to LA and I have to admit, this restaurant is one of the few places which really makes me miss my hometown Chennai. I ordered the Chinese Combo, which had just the right amount of spice in it. I had also ordered the Chennai street side chat and the kothu parotta, which are both must-tries if you ever visit. The service was very kind, and although it took some time for the food to come, the taste was totally worth it. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family in Los Angeles.

Went today here with my family . Below average food, We are okay with homestyle like food , But very poor taste cannot be home like food . Battura had too much oil that we did not even finish it . Naan comes with rice and curries and Raita was not provided . Curries except paneer nothing tasted good. Only relief was the Gobi Manchurian. Management should hire more workers that way one person handles counter and other one comes and check on people . One lady handling everything is very hard on her. Will not recommend to anyone

Vegan Indian food! I mean really vegan. They had vegan butter for the garlic naan! Everything was super tasty. We had Tofu tikka masala, tofu palak, garlic naan samosa and rice in the combo plate. But the star of the show was mushroom kottu roti! OMG! It was incredibly yummy and I think made with enoki (?) mushrooms. The owner was very friendly and explained how most of the food was traditionally vegan anyway. But I really appreciate adding tofu, cashew cream, vegan butter such that it's on par with non vegan food. Well done Even though the place is a little out of the way for me, I'm gonna come back whenever I get the Indian food craving! Really hits the spot!

First time here but really enjoyed it! We got mushroom Tikka and paneer spinach curry. Both dishes were a bit spicy (according to my husband who is slightly more sensitive to heat) and they came with rice and a thin chip-like side (reminded me a bit of a Pringle). The mushrooms in the tikka were adorable miniature mushrooms, not slices like I expected. Food came quickly and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The dining room was clean and spacious with simple but welcoming decor. We're so happy to find such a tasty place by home. We will be back!
