My boyfriend and I stopped at Shorty’z for breakfast before we got hangry! It was delicious! He ordered the chicken fried steak. He was surprised! First ate the pancake he ordered on the side, then the chicken fried steak. He wasn’t happy at first. He realized the sweet pancake and syrup made the chicken fried steak taste different. He took more bites and soon he was happy! He was smiling! It did taste delicious! I could have had more! I got the French toast combo. The French toast was tasty and flavorful! We both enjoyed everything and were talking about coming back before we left! We recommend Shorty’z!

this is one of the best all american breakfast/brunch spots in OC. They make some of the best breakfast burritos & overall their food is so fresh and yummy!!! Not to mention the portion sizes of everything are HUGE! I always get the original bfast burrito & add avocado and salsa— it’s always a 10/10! The salsa they make is super fresh and honestly perfect. The pancakes are very light and fluffy too. When you get everything to-go, they pack everything with generous amounts of napkins, utensils, sauces, etc. —which is nice. This is ultimately a really amazing spot to bring people who are visiting from out of town & love an OG American spot. The service is great & the people who work there are very kind. Definitely check this spot out if you haven’t!!!

Delicious, quick, and simple cuisine. My partner and I tried Shorty’z a day ago. We ordered burritos with bacon, pancakes, hash browns, and bacon omelette. The burrito came with onions and pastrami on the side. The staff were kind and nice. We left happy and with a full tummy.
Walked in, ordered the “Standard” burrito (eggs, bacon, hash brown) 10 min later, I’m walking out with my food. Quick service! Burrito was huge and girthy!!! Only half of it is pictured here bc I had to stop and make this review. it’s so good!!

The service and smiles were genuine and friendly! Love the staff there. I had the French toast combo. I hate soggy and overly sweet French toasts.... mine were perfect... not too sweet, not salty and it was great! Great texture and flavor. Great local hangout for breakfast meetings and lunches. Going back for more.

I like this style of quick diner breakfast. Order at the front and find a spot. What’s great is the price you pay for food. If you want the classic simple breakfast, then the combo is the perfect price and portion.
They also have the Stubborn soda brand which is a really good soda that’s not coke or Pepsi.
