The sushi was very good, fresh and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. This would be my go to sushi place. Hours are irregular so you may plan to go there only to find they are closed so check ahead. Parking is limited.

3.5/5. The sushi was good but not particularly filling. The yellowtail in ponzu with jalapeño was amazing - my whole group thought so and we ordered another. The rest of the rolls were fine but nothing special. The employees were kind and friendly!

Fantastic. Probably on of my favorite sushi place in Fullerton. Every dish is excellent and they have a good variety of veggie sushi. Actually, all their vegetarian/vegan friendly roles are fantastic (yellow submarine and Tarzan recommended). They have at least 4-5 specialty veggie rolls here. As for non veggie, the full moon roll is great and baked mussels here are super delicious too (not like other places where it’s super super saucy). The place is small and cozy. I thoroughly enjoyed this place!

Decided to try this establishment, was at first impressed with the quaint local art, and nods to the home of Subaru vehicles. (Gunma)Was incredibly dissapointed. The disappointment gradually gained momentum to something worse.First bad sign was the menu, which lacked any sense of presentation and appetizing names of their rolls. Second, was my last minute having to change my order due to a lack of Ramen or udon. Third and final straw- me and my partner both have the $#!+$ (liquid #2) due to the questionable sushi rolls we ordered... covered in ponzu and a pile of what tasted like stale panko.Had my resolution about the place by the ripe smell outside, and transients camped on the walk ramp outside.Sorry, went in with no expectations and an open mind, ended up running to the restroom as a result.

This has been my go to sushi spot for the last 7 years best fish quality and an awesome staff. So sad they are closing this location in mid June :(

True mastery sushi rolls. Sunrise/sunset roll is an absolute must try. Servers and sushi chefs are always extra friendly. They treat you like family rather than a customer. Don't skip this place.

Really surprised that this place has such high ratings. Aside from the one waitress who was pretty good (unfortunately not OUR waitress but still was more attentive to us than our own).. this place was TRRRRAAAAASSSHHHHH.First, OUR waitress screwed our order up twice. Then when my girlfriend bit into her Blue Crab Hand Roll there was a hair rolled into it!We called the manager over and she barely said a word and seemed very confused about a very obvious problem. Then she brought my girlfriend a menu to order something else because apparently the Blue Crab Roll with the hair in it was the last of the Blue Crab. Then no one ever came back to take my girlfriend’s new order!!The manager didn’t offer us anything for the awful experience….Trash!!

TRASH!! Management was trash. Our waitress was horrible!! And we got a hair in our hand roll! Absolutely awful. And the "manager" apparently doesn't give two shits about the customer. Didn't offer us anything for the poor experience. They said that they removed the hand roll that had the hair in it from the bill.. That was their favor to us. Food was mediocre at best on top of that. TRASH!!

Great food and great service!! They are busy but they take your takeout orders with smiles. Parking is very limited but worse the try!! My favorite is Salmon skin hand roll, my husband likes a roll with shrimp tempura and avocado inside, and variety of sashimi outside like a rainbow.

If you're ever in the Fullerton area, great place to grab sushi. We have been a couple of times my wife and I, always a great experience.

Stopped by Sushi Joint yesterday and the parking lot is very small and it can be a little difficult to find parking. The wait for our party of 4 was only about 10-15 mins. I was informed there was no longer a happy hour even though it is still posted on the website. For drinks, we ordered 2 Thai teas, a large Sapporo beer, and an iced green tea. For our meal, 2 combinations (1 with chicken and beef and egg roll, the other with chicken and California rolls) and an order of the cheese ebi rolls. The cheese ebi rolls were delicious and creamy! As for the plates, my kids were happy, but, my husband prefers other places as the beef and chicken were pretty dry. Service was good, although I felt a little bit rushed at times and they charge for sauces. Would recommend the drinks and the cheese ebi rolls for sure! Will try it again later on.

This place is small but the food is very good! Some of my favorites are the 911 roll and the lobster roll. The service id also very friendly and fast for making everything to order.

3 stars because their pricing and portions are reasonable. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, 7 pc salmon sashimi, and the chili edamame. I was really impressed with the sashimi - I could have honestly just ordered that and been full. The fish was super fresh and super soft and slices were thic!!!!! Spicy tuna roll was a little off. Not a big fan of that or the edamame either.

Doesn't look much from the outside but it is delicious, staff is friendly even though they were understaffed for a Sunday lunch. Highly recommend the lobster roll from the specialties. His salads are also not bad at all.
