We love The Coffee Cup. It's cute, roomy, and the staff are great! However, several times now we've shown up at posted open hours to find they're not open, no notice, no post. We've seen, and would understand, if this little mom and pop shop posted a hand written note when something delays opening at posted times -- things happen. No big deal. But that hasn't been the case here any of the times we've shown up and it's closed. It makes going here feel like a gamble.

I am writing this review after visiting The Coffee Cup twice so far. I like this place, I really do. But I can't give 5 stars, and I will tell you why... FOOD = A+ CTA Bagel was delicious... so much that I went back the day after for another. Presentation was great. It was dressed perfectly (not too much cream cheese, toppings right on point). Side of fruit was fresh. Iced Vanilla Latte was flavorful, but not too sweet. Overall an excellent, I mean *excellent* breakfast. SERVICE = B I've read raving reviews about Dana, but I don't think she was there when I visited. A man & woman were working the first time (Fri), and the same woman was working alone the second time (Sat). On my first visit, the man made our CTA bagels & when he asked his coworker what kind of bagel to use, she said, "Whatever you want." I thought it was odd, because I assumed they would have a standard recipe or otherwise ask the customer what kind of bagel we wanted. After she said that, he turned to us and asked if we wanted plain or everything. We chose plain. They also forgot my side of fruit & remembered when I was almost finished with my bagel. I was waiting to eat it and took pictures in the meantime lol, but I was done by the time the fruit came. It really wasn't a big deal, but I guess I expected better service for first time customers. The second time we ordered 2 bagels to go, and we waited awhile for our food. I do understand this place is new, and the food alone is enough to make me come back. And I definitely will. I believe things can improve in the future. Plus the workers were pretty friendly besides the issues. It's worth checking out for sure. =)

Was driving down Downtown Fullerton in the morning and my girlfriend and I wanted to get a quick bite - something not Starbucks. We saw this quaint place in the back of the parking lot, adjacent to the bars, and we decided to check it out. Inside was a quiet coffee shop with good vibes and miscellaneous decorations. It had the vibe of a thrift shop/small business, with some local art displayed. The staff was very cordial as well. We ordered a yogurt, sandwich, and a coffee, and all were solid. The coffee was pretty decent, and the food - although nothing mind-blowing - definitely satisfied my craving for a breakfast sandwich. The yogurt was also decently-priced and had a good amount of fruits. Overall, although the food offerings could probably be expanded, I think I would return to this place for its vibe. It's seems like a great place to hang out, and an alternate if you're not feeling Night Owl down the street. I hope this place stays, because it's a great addition to the coffee spots in DTF.

What a wonderful place to grab a delicious and affordable bite downtown during the day. A lovely atmosphere. Real food made fresh. I had the best fruit salad I can recall. Comes in a big bowl with mango, papaya, pineapple, blueberries, grapes, granola, and huge shavings of coconut. Topped with lechera. Yum!

Stopped in based on Yelp rating. Did not disappoint. Ordered a latte and bacon / egg breakfast. Bacon and eggs cooked to order and perfect. Latte was also very. Good. Quiet and comfortable space.

Accidentally found this place today! Got an almond milk latte and a scone. The almond milk latte was VERY good. I like them plain and unsweetened and this one was perfect. The maple scone was like a really thick pancake, which was delish! The people working there were super friendly, too. Lots of tables and a very big space, perfect for a get together or meeting!

Tamales were great. And bomb chocolate de abuelita frappuccinos.

As I drove through Downtown Fullerton after work today I stumbled across this coffee shop off a nearby street after bring unable to find parking near my regular coffee stop. I was able to park on the curb right out front which was nice. As I walked in the place was quiet and had a few customers scattered throughout, the staff lady was friendly enough but was far too preoccupied with her child behind the counter which takes away from the experience. The shop itself has a nice setup and a relatively simple menu. I ordered a 16oz iced vanilla latte and was asked if 2% milk was fine in which I said yes. The drink I received was dark and tasted like nothing but pure iced coffee and not a latte. Where was the milk? I even got a comment asking if I needed more milk in the drink... If it was that obvious based off the color you gave me why would you not just remake the drink properly instead of just handing this to the paying customer. I am NOT a fan of regular coffee so this drink for me was horrible but being as I didnt feel all that welcomed due to not being a regular and not feeling that a remade drink would be adequate either based off what I received I just took the drink, said thank you and left. I managed to get through about half before tossing it out and having wasted my money. I wish them success being a small business in a very busy and competitive space but I dont think I would return for another drink.

Cute coffee shop with friendly staff, they have plenty of tables to do homework and a few couches to hang out. They have the breakfast sandwiches and their cold brew is the right amount of strong. We also tried a few of their pastries and they were fresh and delicious If you're in the area you should stop by and check this place out!

Such great atmosphere and set up. I love the mix match tables and chairs. Right in the heart of Fullerton. Try their ham and cheese sandwich it won't disappoint so buttery just the best. Also had their mocha with vanilla sweetener hit the right spot. Will be returning !
