The Twisted Vine has a funky old school kinda vibe. My first visit here and it was perfect for a first date. Not too dark, not too loud with a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and very reasonable prices. They serve wine by the glass or bottle. Between the 2 of us, we tried three different wines, a pinot noir and a red blend, which were both very good and a McPrice Myers Cab, which was excellent.I didn't rate the food as we didn't order any, but the food I observed other customers being served looked appealing and delicious.I give this place my highest recommendation. It's definitely worth a visit.Parking: My data and I arrived separately, and we were both able to find street parking. There is a large paid ($5 fee) public parking lot behind the building, but as our visit was on a Saturday night, the lot was full.

We had a wonderful time at our old friend gathering in this setting. The atmosphere, wine, and service all contributed to a memorable experience. We began with a bottle of Malbec, a delightful Argentine red wine, accompanied by a cheese platter and empanadas. Despite the lively ambiance making conversation a bit challenging at times, we cherished the opportunity to reconnect and reminisce on over 40 years of friendship. Our time in downtown Fullerton left us with yet another cherished memory, adding to its status as a historic landmark of dining experiences and lasting memories.

Wine Discretion is very good here, but it is expensive and prices are high. Ambiance, too dark, woody, a lack of optimizing space for an inviting feeling - but get place does get packed during typical social hours. The ceiling lighting is really bad, either you're under interrogation or you're avoiding the glare while the rest of the place is dark. Chairs and seats are hard and you will have to struggle with a solo seat at the bar in contention with the local barfly couples who get a bit too inebriated. You are remembered and welcomed if the staff is in the mood-otherwise some staff have a biting or don't care mood. If there were another wine bar nearby for competition it might be different. Appetizers/Food expensive, not always served the same and staff gives you attitude if you ask about it, especially if your solo - so if you travel and looking for a nice place to chill you may want to just have another glass of wine to forget the treatment. It seems like a real locals/repeat customers have a welcoming l, which is nice to see but it is not dependable. The patio looks kind of sullen. Parking is subject to cost or the Fullerton Rowdy classless residents but many people are pretty pleasant and friendly in Twisted Vine just enjoying good wine. So overlook the price, don't depend on friendly service each time and bring a friend to help you ignore the unchecked aggression of some staff. You might get a great one!

Ambiance is a perfect date night or girls' night out. Food is amazing--definitely pair them with a flight.

Two servers came to our table eight times to ask if we were going to order more glasses. I would’ve understood if it was packed but half the tables were empty and it wasn’t busy at all. It was so uncomfortable to say multiple times that no, we will not be ordering more glasses or food. We left early because the waitresses kept hounding us to order more and just gave us our check without asking as if to say if you’re not going to order more, hurry up and leave. Why do your servers keep bothering customers to order more?

I didn't eat here- just posting to say they do not allow dogs on the patio- since I haven't seen it posted anywhere else and they do not answer their phone :( thought I'd share!

Had the best tomato soup and grilled cheese along with a great Chardonnay to top it off. There are lots of small bites to share while enjoying your wine either inside or on the patio (we had the mixed olives with blue cheese). The service was attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend for a casual evening out.

Service is so exceptional! Scott was attentive, friendly, and helpful. We ordered the baked brie, smoked pork belly, and chopped salad - highly recommend all 3! Will be back when in town again.

Cozy and romantic to sit outside on the patio. Had a delicious smooth Malbec with a handsome date of mine. Unfortunately the relationship didn't last but I'll never forget this location to wine and dine at.

This wine bar was really beautiful. The ambiance was amazing. Gorgeous decorations for the season. The prices of the flights and the bottles were very good. The service not so much. When we came in the server greeted us and then ignored us. We got our first flight very quickly but the server didn't offer any information about the wines at all. We go into wine bars fairly often and what we love about them is the enthusiasm of the servers about the wine, we like to have the wine explained to us at least a little. This woman took our order. She brought our flight very quickly and ran away. We got no personal explanations or anything about any of these wines. And we wanted to order food and we told her we wanted to order food and the water that we had asked for at least 15 minutes earlier. She was closing another couples order out and I said hey we're going to order some food and can we please have our glass of water that we ordered earlier. She said yeah I'll Get to you as soon as I possibly can. 15 minutes later we finally got our water and she plopped it down on our table and ran off before we could order any food. We would have ordered food and probably ordered another glass of wine from the tasting menu that we enjoyed but we ended up just leaving.

i love coming here. the wine selection and food are always great, and the service is even better! every server i've encountered here is so amazing and scott has been so great every-time! i always opt for the wine flight (rotating) and the charcuterie board is the best. the dessert is great too. all around a hit each time :) i also love the dim ambiance and overall atmosphere. thank you scott!
