I think we bought the yema cheese ubenabon. I'm guessing here, I honestly don't remember what it was called, that's how underwhelming it was. The presentation of the product at the booth was amazing, but the taste was anything but. There was no ube flavor whatsoever. I ended up throwing it away, which hurts to say because it was not cheap. As others have said, they do not list prices, so it was a bit of sticker shock when I handed my credit card over to them. I doubt I will try them again.
0/10. Does not taste like ube AT ALL it literally is just a block of bread. The Oreo cream on top is the most AWEFUL thing I tasted it literally taste so sour it’s like expired milk or something I’m not even joking. Where’s the Oreo taste and where’s the ube taste???. Not worth 18 dollars??
I love ube so I had to try them during the 626 Night Market in Las Vegas. I think it's overly priced for what you're getting. I've had better ube pastries for less.
My fiancé & I tried the Red Velvet Ubenabon when they were at the Night Market in Las Vegas and we hands down cannot wait to try a new flavor the next time!
I tried this place at 626 night market in Las Vegas. When we ordered they informed us that this is something to take home and heat up. I like the idea and how they packaged it. There was also a long list of flavors to choose from, it was hard to pick just one. After taking home a cookie butter ube cinnamon roll and heating it up, I was in shock with how delicious it was! If only they also had an option to enjoy at the market as well, if they had both I think they would be even more successful than they already are. If you ever see them, make sure to try them out.
Wanted to support Filipino small business, so I bought one at the 626 Night Market. First of all, I had no idea it was cinnamon rolls-nowhere on the signage does it say “Ube cinnamon rolls”. Secondly, $20 per roll (even though they were large) is highway robbery. Packaging was nice, customer service was also good. They do not post their prices, which already told me that it was going to be overpriced, but WOW. I’ve paid less for fancy desserts at upscale restaurants. I don’t mind paying if it’s worth it…this roll was alright, but not worth the price I paid.
I love ube, and really wanted to like this -- but at $20 for ONE cinnamon roll, you have to deliver. The cinnamon roll itself was fine - not offensive, not amazing - if not on the dry side. The toppings were better than the bun itself - ube frosting, an ube paste that wasn't sweet (nice balance with the rest), and some ube puree.Ultimately I left feeling pretty ripped off. The fact that they didn't list their prices until after you'd ordered (unlike literally every other booth at Foodie Night Market) should have been a sign. I took a chance on Ubenabon and it didn't pay off.
I tried ubenabon at a local night market and I was sadly disappointed. The staff were friendly and gave us tips on how to warm the product up after purchase. However, once I purchased the product, I realized that it was way more expensive than I anticipated. I spent $42 on 2 buns (ube pandan & ube Oreo). Ube pandan did not have enough flavor (dry texture) while the ube Oreo was overwhelmingly sweet. The vendor did not display their prices compared to other night market vendors. Overall, ubenabon was overpriced and not worth the value that the customer pays for. I Would not recommend. I Can literally get a cake at a local Filipino bakery for the same price and have better value and quality.
I ordered the Ube Classic OG Cinnamon Roll and it was so good. Soft, doughy, and warm! I would definitely go back.

I went last night for 626 night market and wasn’t disappointed! I saw them originally on the 626 night market Instagram page. I love Ube but never thought of this concept. It’s different and delicious. Service was great and they gave my friend great recommendations as well. Didn’t have to wait long and it was served warm! Cinnabon may have some competition. Love this place. Would go again .
Tried the ube overload at 626 night market and I loved it! Not overwhelmingly sweet so I wanted to keep eating it. The staff was also very friendly and walked us through the flavors and which they recommended. The next day we went back and got more to take home!
Bought this at the 626 Night Market just this last weekend. We brought it home to have for breakfast the next day. Followed the heating instructions to the letter and I must say my bf and I weren’t disappointed. The ube overload was really good, moist and not too sweet! Absolutely perfect especially when warm.We went to buy 2 more flavors the next day and the staff there even gave us 10% off because he was appreciative of us coming back. It wasn’t cheap getting it at the night market and I was fine with that because all of the prices were bumped up there anyways.
So I bought a Ubenabon at the event foodie land as a dessert to end my experience there and I was first taken a back for the price for the the Ube when I order the red velvet flavor it was a little over $20 which is a lot for a single pastry. I don’t make reviews unless I’m utterly disappointed and this was the case with ube, the bun itself is dry and the flavor is like getting one of the those 50 cent honey buns at the gas station the only decent part was the small piece of red velvet cake I wish I didn’t waste my money on this product it would’ve been better to get something more reasonable and tasted better. In all I do not recommend at all and I hope they see this and try to better their recipes or business approach this place is a dime a dozen.
Their stuff is full of food coloring and that’s it. I bought a pandan and an ube cake from the Santa Monica night market stand. The buns have no ube or pandan flavor. Pandan frosting had a little bit of pandan flavor, ube frosting doesn’t even have that. I ended up throwing both of them away.I feel like I was scammed considering how much they charge. I recommend avoiding this place, unless all you want is a really green or purple bun that doesn’t taste like anything.
