Meals and drinks were quite good
The food was incredible and the staff was fantastic. The place itself is a treasure trove of art and collectibles. Truly a diamond in the rough.

Who would expect to have a perfect steak in Death Valley? This place has the best steaks and ribs that are well worth the price and the drive. We read another review raving bout the food and decided to give it a try. The Flat Iron steak was cooked to perfection and well seasoned with a cilantro compound butter and brussels sprouts. I don't like brussels sprouts but these were not bitter at all and were really good. My husband had the BBQ ribs that were so tinder and flavorful. The chef took time out to personally check on each of the guest. The environment and service was relaxed and welcoming. They didn't serve ice with the drinks but they were so cold they didn't need ice. It was our most enjoyable meal on our vacation and one of the best steaks I have ever had.

We were pleasantly surprised with this saloon considering we were out in the middle of nowhere! Great option for being in property. The burger was good and the service was great.

Service was very good and friendly. The flat iron steak, chicken tacos and Fundido were VERY good. Prices are what they are in Death Valley, but based on other reviews, I was pleasantly surprised and would strongly recommend

Great ambiance, food, and drinks. The Southwest Caesar salad, the black bean burger, and the fries were fantastic! Our server Rin was great. Highly recommend!
Good experience at this restaurant for a group dinner. The service was quick and very flexible (thank you for turning on the ceiling fan as it was quite hot in the mezzanine) and we got our drinks and food pretty fast. I got the filet mignon which was quite nice but totally overpriced for the portion. I also got some Buffalo chicken wings which were very good.
All in all, a good restaurant but too pricey for what you get.

It’s closing 9PM. Food was good enough but little bit pricey. There were many staffs with different responsibilities… you can only talk to someone who is responsible to your table as they will just pass it over to the others.

I have reviewed dozens of restaurants in Las Vegas, Nevada in the past… I am a foodie, what can I say! As someone who has worked at several restaurants and food operations, I must say I was quite disappointed in the food at the “Last Kind Words Saloon” at the Ranch in Death Valley.
I got the Pappardelle pasta priced at $26 dollars. The portions were fine, but the butter sauce that was supposed to come on the pasta had absolutely no flavor. To throw some greens on some pappardelle noodles, with some tomatoes, and some butter, that is doable for > 26 at home.
Not impressed. Not impressed at all.

How this place has a 3.7 rating as of writing this is a mystery to me. The food we were served was excellent, the service was good, and the venue was absolutely charming. I ordered buffalo wings, which were huge, salmon, onion rings, wine sauce pasta, salad. Everything was great.

This place has the BEST campfire fundido dip!!! Don’t miss out it was delicious. We only came and got chicken tacos and this cheese dip and the tacos were meh not great, but the cheese dip was superb. It was very busy but we didn’t have to wait for a table and we had great service!
