Simply, this place serves, or served, the best food in Garberville. The food was fantastic due to the great chef. This place will be sorely missed.

What more can I say that hasn't already been said, this is really an awesome bite from start to finish...I will be so sad to see him go. But he promises to open again -somewhere- if we follow him here on Google Maps. Love ya Steve.

Very sweet chef. Excellent food! Atmosphere- well ... It's very out only, and you pay the gas station clerk for the food, then take your receipt to the counter.Best gas station food I've had! I even wrapped the leftover falafel in foil and wedges it in the exhaust of my motorcycle to continue my trip. I got to enjoy all over again with a hot dinner later that day! If you're in the area, give them a try.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and GF falafel, but pita is not GF. Delicious!

Before going to the Avenue of the Giants I pulled into a Patriot gas station in Garberville, California. I noticed there was a small window where a man with a chef's hat was serving food. I asked him if he had anything for me that had little salt. He recommended his falafel. I ordered it, and couldn't believe my eyes when he handed it to me. It was like an art creation. It was truly delicious and filled me up for hours afterward. The gentleman was very courteous, and actually came out and sat down and talked with me. He really takes pride in his job, and it shows in the quality of his food. If I'm ever in Garberville again, I will definitely go back to the gas station restaurant.

Got the gyro: tasty and well made. The cook, Steve, was very friendly and a font of local knowledge about things to see and do. Would definitely come again!

This place is so good. It's a hole in the wall at a shady looking gas station, but that should honestly be encouraging because it is so well reviewed despite its outward appearance. The food is so, so good, and the chef is super nice as well. Absolutely stop in here if you're passing through
