Apollo Burgers in Garden Grove is one of those local gems that’s been serving up the same great quality for many, many years. Every time I stop by, I’m reminded why this place has stood the test of time.
My go-to is the Bacon Cheeseburger special—comes with fries and a drink—and it never disappoints. The burger is juicy, flavorful, and stacked just right. The fries are always crispy and fresh, making it a perfect combo meal that hits the spot every time.
What really makes Apollo special, though, is the people. The customer service is consistently friendly and welcoming, and on my last visit, I was happy to see that the same owner and cook are still there, just like they've been for as long as I can remember. There’s something comforting about knowing the folks behind the counter are the same ones who've been serving the community for years.

Its kinda tightly spaced which makes it hard to maneuver around when its busy. And loud! I think the food is ok, didnt blow me away like i have to have it again and its way to expensive. I got food for 2 ppl and it was a little over 40$ so if ur on a budget, this isnt the place to go. And honestly the drink options are the worst ive ever seen. They dont have sprite or 7up,they have starry, and everything tastes like syrup. But the ppl were all helpful and patient while i decided so no complaints there.

I've been coming here for 24 years and their burgers have always been a staple on their menu for a our family. Today I came to order the same special and I've noticed they don't have the same flavor. The burger bun was also changed. What once was one of my favorite burger worthy of the 5 stars has now been downgraded. As someone who would travel weekly across anahiem just to get a taste, it disappoints me to see the change.
Been going to this place for over 15 years...... food never disappoints, everything that I've had has been solid, great portions and customer service is friendly and helpful. The Teriyaki plate is so gooooood.

The Bulgogi Beef Hamburger is good here. The Fries were undercook and have no seasoning, ended up throwing away 4 orders of fries. Don’t get combo here, just get hamburger by itself or order something other than French Fries if you dine-in.

2nd visit and am so impressed. Don't fire this chef he's great. And owner, (I think, or mgr?), is super nice I feel like I'm at the Ritz. Prices are way more reasonable than other joints with Apollo having better food, anyway.
1st visit, I noticed a lot of obvious locals frequented this place... that's good. The Bacon Cheesebrgr Meal was so so so good-- just a notch above the norm. Couldn't wait to try the place again.
2nd visit the French Toast meal was absolutely perfect. Bacon perfect- crisp but not hard. The Scrambled egg was in larger chunks and soft- perfect. And my Fave, French Toast, had a nice coating - soaked THRU the bread -(as it should be), lots of powder sugar- Absolutely perfect. Great coffee and he gave me a bonus plate of chips and yummy salsa! The spice paired well with those perfect eggs.
This place will def be getting more of my business and I highly recommend to anyone, including visitors as it's just down the street from convention hotels.
