BCD Tofu House

This is the alleyway that connects the back parking lot to BCD. Customers park in the back and must pass through this narrow alley to reach the restaurant. Unfortunately, I’ve repeatedly seen a homeless man sitting here, often blocking the walkway. It creates an uncomfortable and unsafe environment, children get scared, and many people hesitate to walk through. At times, he uses a torch to light cigarettes or possibly weed, which makes the experience even more unpleasant.

It’s very concerning that the restaurant or nearby businesses have not addressed this ongoing issue. As a customer, I believe more attention should be given to keeping this entrance clear and safe for everyone.

Open late, casual setting but fresh and yummy Korean food. Unlimited refills on condiments/small appetizers.
Service is fast and efficient.

One of the best Korean tofu restaurants! Truly delight! The service is excellent and the flavors are amazing. Yeon waitress was very RT attentive and always made sure we had plenty of side dishes. Don't forget to scoop out that crispy rice and add water for a true Korean delight

If you're coming for the Soft Tofu, this place is good but it's not the same quality as the location in Downtown LA, if you're coming for the soft tofu go to the DTLA location instead. However, from what we saw ordered by every party that walked in, it seems the Galbi Combo must be their specialty.

I have eating at BCD for years, and I always order C8. Covina Fish Combo with original soup beef medium forever.

Today, like my regular day off, we came and eat, order our regular:
(1) C8 number combo ( I pointed at the menu first, if the restaurant owner or manager see this comment, you can check the camera, and see my first action when Mrs. Yeon (her name tag: lady with blonde hair) took my order))

(2) We always orders (2) more small fish + (2) rice of pots, and yes she gave us only one rice of pot, later we have to order her again. We then feel weird about the order.

Later, we thought she ordered everything right when she just walked away without asking my another friend what he wants, or CONFIRMING our orders?

The tofu soup pot was big than usual, so we knew there is something wrong. We even looked at the table of the (2) girls next to us and questioned why our soup pot is bigger than usual when we order combo C.8??? so we decided to ask her again “Will the fish coming? with combo C8 we told you?”

She denied and said: “you never say any fishs, so I thought small fish??” I was like:” did you ask us or confirming our orders? Yes, we ordered C.8 combo + extra (1) small fish side + (2) rice pot. You can check the camera.”

She continued to deny and blaming us for order wrong, and yes I told her check the camera she then walked away said it her fault. Without make up our order but made us have to order another C.8 for real this time?? We were like finished up all the soup already, why we have to wait for another order and in conclusion we pay (1) extra combo?

First time ordering, but the server was so unfriendly and rude, never confirming our order and blaming us.

p/s: Our orders with BCD everytimes we come always above $35, not around $20 something. And we know what to order.

BUT the food is delicious like always, I will still give the chef +4 starts despite the RUDE SERVICE of MRS. YEON

I’ve been to more BCD locations than I can count, but Buena Park consistently delivers. It’s a solid 25-minute drive for me — which in SoCal traffic means I basically committed a road trip — but every time, it’s worth it.

This time I ordered to-go: beef soontofu, pork bulgogi, and a bibimbap that could probably solve all my life problems if I let it. Service was great — quick, friendly, and they packed everything like it was shipping to the moon.

By the time I got home, the soontofu was still piping hot, the bulgogi still tender and juicy, and the bibimbap still looking like a masterpiece before I destroyed it with my chopsticks.

BCD Buena Park, you have my heart… and my gas money.

Out of 4 of the BCD tofu houses this was the only one that had bad customer service. The food was amazing compliments to the chef. The service was awful and the waiter was Jessica Kim. The atmosphere was amazing there were cool people there.

Joanne was our server and she was great! She went above and beyond to serve us with an amazing attitude and smile. Food was good as well, but we were more impressed by the customer service.
