Got the #1 grass jelly. Boba was stale and hard. Taro and potato balls were old and not fresh. It was just bad overall.

No. 11 Aiyu Jelly - sweet potato & taro balls, boba:Ahh really yummy! The boba was warm and the rest is cold so it made it room temp. I would prefer it colder though. The boba was alright; it could be squishier and bigger. The taro and sweet potato balls are soo good! They are super soft and squishy and taste just like taro and sweet potato respectively. The aiyu jelly tastes like a light lemon jelly. 4/5

Number 4, Grass Jelly, with added matcha pudding, and red bean.

It’s a simple Taiwanese dessert spot that serves warm desserts like pudding and porridge and shaved ice desserts. They also serve drinks. #22 is a plethora of goodness

Blackball is a Taiwanese desert that mainly consist of grass jelly and whatever other toppings you would like to add. It can be ordered hot or iced depending on your preference. I usually add egg pudding, matcha jelly, and boba. This is a great light/ not too sweet desert if you want to eat something after dinner. They also have drinks but I never really order drinks when I come to Blackball. Overall, this place is pretty average. I wouldn't say it's anything exciting, but it's also not bad.

Dessert is good but shop is very dirty. Employees do not sweep or mop floors.. can see major dirt and dust clumps and trash on the floor. I wonder if that is how they keep their kitchen? Not interested in coming back to filthy place like this.

Nice, clean store they ran out of boba that day, would be nice if they told me about it before I ordered.

Although black ball is known for their desserts, once in a while I'll stop by to get their boba drinks since I enjoy their jasmine milk tea. A good blend of tea and milk. Yesterday's experience was quite disappointing. The establishment is understaffed with one employee working the register and preparing orders on a Saturday. I waited ~20 min to get three boba drinks - normal wait times at other stores are usually 5 min and at most 10. The people in front of me seemed as though they were waiting for quite some time as well. Several customers kept checking in on their order to see when it'd be ready. If I had known, I'd probably go elsewhere. To top it off, toward the end of the wait, I was notified they only had enough boba for one of my drinks. Had the establishment been well staffed, the employees would've recognized the low inventory and notified me during the time my order was taken. This is not a blame on the employee whatsoever. In her attempt to take everyone's orders, she didn't have a chance to check on inventory. Back to my drinks, I didn't want a replacement topping so opted for no boba for the others. I was also not offered a refund - keep in mind toppings are an additional $1. I wish I would've noticed at the store but the one drink that did actually get boba had barely any boba. Yesterday was a 1/5 star experience. I added an additional star for my previous experiences. I probably will not be back.

I don't know what to say about this but 2 cup of grass jelly for $10. Seriously?? The girl said she was out of everything... Um.. why not just close for the day! Should have opted for the can at that Asian Mart.. lesson learned.

This place is amazing! I have been here 3 times already since they have a great selection, generous portion, delicious balls (from taro, sweet potato to sesame balls). The service is a little slower since there's only one employee every time I go there, but I don't mind. Just please be considerate when you come here. The place looks old on the outside but inside looks clean. Their employees are always so nice and welcoming especially the first time we were there. She was nice enough to answer our questions. Also, they are located in a plaza so parking is not a problem. Highly recommend this place. Give them a try when you can or if you are in the area.

Giving 3 stars to be nice during COVID...but my experience here was not good at all. The workers seemed nice, I placed my order, and went to their bathroom. It. Was. Disgusting. Toilet was dirty, the sink faucet was broken, the soap dispenser was broken placed on the sink with a sponge in there, and lastly..there was a dead cockroach on the floor. What a great way to go back & have my dessert. A bathroom can tell so much about how much they really care about their business & it has definitely made me lost my appetite. Anyways I had their almond soup and it was very mediocre...a tad bland. Not worth my $8. Overall, I'm sorry but I can not recommend this place. I hope it improves.
