Unique find..., soft tofu soup many varieties and free dessert. Who could ask for more. The people provide excellent service. I've eaten here 3 times already!

This restaurant was fantastic. I ordered the jjampong and it was genuinely one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The noodles were excellent and the broth was incredibly flavorful. The wait staff was very kind and helped by giving great recommendations. The Golbi beef was also very good.

The food was delicious! I loved the beef soft tofu stew. The portions were great. Really friendly staff. And it had cute decor. The price was worth it in my opinion.

I came here on Saturday and when I walked in, the first thing that caught my eye was the menu because everything looked so good. Me and my family decided to their popcorn chicken, galbi tang, and chicken salad. The waitresses who served us were very kind and friendly. The ambiance was calm and peaceful, with jazz music playing. The galbi tang was very soothing and so delicious. It's honestly the most flavorful soup I ever had. I loved how they gave us a side of fries and a salad with the k-popcorn chicken, it balanced out the whole dish. The dressing for the chicken salad was light and the flavor correlated well with the salad. Me personally, I don't like thick sauces like ranch so this was a huge plus. I liked how the portions were very generous and big because it made the price definitely worth it. This place is definitely a 10/10!

Seeing how this place is local and a small business, I decided to try it out. The decor, service, waitresses are all very nice. The food? Eh... I ordered a pork katsu for lunch. I had many Korean-styled pork katsu in my life. This place has one of the worst ones I've ever had. It was so disgusting that I could not even finish the food. It comes with French fries with sprinkled powdered Parmesan cheese. I don't know why the restaurant thought it was a good idea to add Parmesan cheese, let alone adding another source of carb alongside rice? Very bizarre combination of ingredients for such a simple dish. The pork itself is thinner than the batter. Take a look at my picture. The cutlet has no flavor and very dry. It was drenched in some house-made katsu sauce that tastes like sugar mixed with corn starch that's overly sweet, not reminiscent of any katsu sauce I've had. The katsu sauce is suppose to be pleasantly sweet with hint of apple and/or pear. You know the food is not good when a restaurant drowns your food with sauces, almost trying to compensate for the lack of flavor from the main dish. The katsu is drenched with the sauce. The salad is drenched in some flavorless dressing. And it decided to add more of that weird corn starch sauce all around the rim of the plate. The Korean side dish banchan was edible and good enough. I only ate the rice (made sure to dust off all the Parmesan cheese on it) and the banchan before leaving. The price for this dish was ~$17 plus $4 of tip I left behind. Hey, at least the service wasn't bad. The waitress actually came to ask me how the food was. I pretty much told her everything I mentioned here. I really wanted to support this locally owned small business... If the food was good, I wouldn't mind paying over $17. What a shame... maybe the food will improve in the future, but I will not be returning anytime soon.

I don't know how anyone can rate this place 5 stars. I like to try and go to local restaurants and I hope they make it. But my dinner was less than stellar. We ordered what the waitress said was the most popular dish, the Galbi stew and the tofu hot pot. The Galbi stew came with 4 bones with meat, a few white and green onions and that's it. When I took the bones out there was maybe a quarter pound of meat. The broth was tasty so I took it home and cooked some udon noodles and ate it after because I was still hungry. The stew needs some radish or carrots or even potatoes to really call it a stew. The tofu pots were good and really temperature hot but not anything exceptional. The prices were good but the bowls are not that big. We were still hungry after. Lastly, the rice was mushy. Service was good. No wait on a Friday night but I don't think I'll be back.

Friendly ambience but the food was lackluster. And why does everything come with fries. Too many better options to come back

Oh wow, I'm really glad I took a chance on Chew Me. I've been craving tofu soup lately, and there aren't many options nearby. I decided to try Chew Me's beef tofu soup and not only is the flavor super tasty, the to go portion was HUGE. The cute little veggie pack was a nice touch too : ) I'll definitely be coming back!

I came here as part of a stop after some activities nearby. Even though the rest of my day was full of fun and games, stopping at Chew Me was definitely an excellent way to finish off the day. I think everyone who has a chance to come here should do so. Even if you're going a little out of your way, it's really worth a good time. First off, the food is pretty good. We didn't have to wait so long to be seated the day we came. There were some other people eating and the place isn't too big but a spot opened up right away. We ended up ordering a few dishes and were amazed by how generous the portion sizes were. Somehow, it's still the right amount as we didn't have so much left over anyway. Secondly, the service is pretty good. We had a few different waitresses and it seemed like one of them didn't quite understand our order or mistook some of our instructions. I had asked for a soft tofu soup - not spicy but ended up getting a spicy one. We also wanted the beef broth soup but it never came. There was some confusion and misunderstanding. But the manager/owner corrected it right away because she really wanted us to try the dish we ordered. Even though we had to have it as take out, it was still pretty delicious when we got the chance to sit down and eat it. Lastly, it's a pretty family friendly place. Sure, it definitely seems like a family owned business and that's a plus. But our family really liked the high chair the place had. Our child is pretty adventurous and loves to find ways to climb out of the usual high chair places have. But this one was just snug enough for her to be secure without losing any comfort in the process. If we're ever in the area again, we'd definitely love to try this place again. Hope that helps!

Great customer service. Friendly and good food. Came back to Cali to visit family. A friend saw this place showcased on social media and wanted to give it a try. Really friendly and welcoming staff. The food was tasty and when a friend mentioned that they wanted the food a little spicier, they did a great job. This is definitely more a mom and pop restaurant, but the food was tasty and fresh. The service was so friendly and welcoming. What more can you ask for? I'll definitely make an effort to stop by when I come visit family. My friends have already said that they plan on adding the restaurant to their regular rotation because it was so good. Give it a try!

Everything was amazing! Very friendly staff and the service was over and above. I had the dumpling tofu soup and it came out boiling hot with a fresh egg to drop in it. Soup was spicy and loaded with flavor. I will be a regular at this place.
