This spot obviously knows how to please their customers. Constantly with a welcoming approach. The food is reasonably priced, always flavorful and clean.

Food is delicious! A little pricey but still worth it ! The rolls good size and their ramens are yummy , and so are their plate dinners !

My girl ordered the Avocado Toast -_-My friend ordered the Soy Chorizo & Egg SandwichAnd I had the Regular French Toast + side of 2 eggsMy girl enjoyed her meal except that there was one egg to split between two pieces of toast.. it looked pretty good from where I sat. Had cherry tomatoes, pickled onions, boiled egg and the avocado on top of the toast. My friend also enjoyed his meal.. he is trying this whole pescatarian, vegetarian thing and just left his clean as clean as a whistle!!!!As for my french toast.. the reviews here made my experience underwhelming.. If I were to go back for a breakfast.... actually I probably wouldn't.. the only item off the breakfast menu that was remotely pleasing to me would be the french toast, but it just wasn't done right for me.. it was missing some flavor.. butter, cinnamon, sugar it was all missing..

Amidst the pouring rain, this was a quaint and comforting place. I had regular coffee and the orange French toast.... Delicious! My aunty has the eggplant sandwich and mint lemonade.... She was impressed and enjoyed both items. And the staff were smiley and helpful

This restaurant is my favorite. I eat in many restaurants but to this one I go the most. The team is very helpful and the cuisine they cook is so flavorful. I never decline to have a good dinner here. I highly recommend this place.

Decent tempura sauce and salad dressing. Too bad the salad was the cheap filler type of cabbage. Salmon was ok. Cali rolls were good. Rice and miso were decent. Overall decent food slightly above the average japanese takeout. But poor value. For almost 20 bux a lunch I expected good, not just decent. Would be 4 stars if either they upped the quality or lowered the prices by a notch. 5 star if they could do both.

I came here out of curiosity since I've passed by it so many times before. I was craving for chicken katsu and boy, I'm glad I took a chance on this. Chicken katsu bento - The katsu was crisp and paired well with the side salad and tempura. The sauces brought flavor to the dish that would've otherwise tasted plain. I'm allergic to fish and crab so I didn't eat the California rolls but it looked tasty. It's a bit on the pricey side. I spent roughly $17.00 but the meal was filling and I'll definitely be back. There is a sign at the register that notes prices displayed are for cash payments only.

I eat in this nice place quite a bit! This is the best place to dine. I visit this place many times. The cooking is very good, the workers are courteous and the payment is decent. I enjoy eating in this place over a rich dinner.

Great little casual ramen / rolls / bento spot. Well-priced and a breeze to order takeout and delivery during these Covid days. The Korean Ramen with beef is the favorite at our house, we also love the tempura appetizers and the Crunch and Spicy Tuna rolls. Takeout is packaged with care and the service is super-friendly. Stoked these guys are in our neighborhood!

Ordered via DoorDash. Food was excellent. I was impressed how nice the mango avocado salad looked when it arrived (a lot of places use no contact as an excuse to not make an effort). Karaage was delicious too.

Small restaurant so you know the food will be good. I ordered the spicy pork bento to go and it was ready when I got there (mask eequired when entering). Food was delicious and plenty for one person. Its really what I needed when I'm looking for bento box. Reminds me of my family cooking back home. Gives you the memories of feeling at home with a lot of food on the plate and feeling nostalgic with the flavors. So why are you still reading? Just go and get some.

What's reasonably priced, delicious, and somehow miraculously still open? That's the million dollar question during quarantine. Luckily, Fat Belly Grill was around to answer my stomach's prayers. ORDERING EXPERIENCE: My boyfriend and I were in the mood for a Japanese bento box and found this place on Yelp. So, we decided to order on UberEats. The second time we ordered, I went through Doordash. No issues at all with both orders. Food was still warm when it arrived and we did no-contact delivery which was safe + easy for all parties involved. Prices were consistent on both platforms and packaging was secure. It arrived with all utensils wrapped individually and the boxes were secured with rubber bands to prevent spilling. Remember to get your online orders in by 7:30pm since they close at 8pm! FOOD: My boyfriend ordered the chicken katsu cutlet bento and I got the beef teriyaki bento. Chicken cutlet seemed a little thin/small than average and the dipping sauce had a taste that seemed like it had a little too much ketchup mixed with another sauce - not a great katsu dipping sauce. I wouldn't recommend this choice. However, their beef teriyaki was absolutely delicious! Meat was decent quality, portions were plentiful, and sauce was tasty yet light and savory. Bento boxes here are a fantastic deal. You get your choice of meat plus soft rice, fresh salad, crispy tempura (4-5 pcs of veggies) and 4 hearty CA rolls for around ~$13.99. All taste super fresh and delicious. It's so hard finding real food at this price point so both experiences and both orders of these bento boxes were really satisfying . I am SO glad that Fat Belly Grill is around and that we gave it a try. I'll definitely be visiting once dining rooms open again!

First time ordered here thru UberEats, ordered Tonkatsu Ramen and Chicken Katsu Bento, I can say the ramen is the worst one I had, ordered mild spicy and doesn't have a small kick at all tasteless, more of a ginger strings. Meat was a small piece. Felt like wasted $11.99 with that food. I should've just eat cup noodles at home. Much better lol.

Great food great price. Please support this business during these trying times. They need to make it through this, so we can enjoy their amazing japanese food in west garden grove for years to come.
