I dined in this past Friday and place was good. Mostly, the service and food was on point. I was exceptionally impressed with the service. The server that took care of us was very attentive. She took our order and checked up on us promptly. I accidentally dropped my chopsticks during my meal, and even then, she immediately got me a new pair of chopsticks. I believe that taste is most important for a restaurant, but service must be matched to the qualify of good to have a complete experience. This restaurant offered great food and service. The only thing i'd complain about is the cleanliness of the restaurant. The utensils weren't very clean and had tiny debris on them (probably food particles that weren't washed out) and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't up to par with food and service.

INTERESTING. I'm a fan of yuk gae jang and wanted to try out this spot (despite it not being "known" for this dish), and I was plesantly surprised??? Whaaaaaat??Food: - Yuk Gae Jang: First off, great portion size. I was quite satisfied with eating half my bowl and saving it for later. Second, flavors were very distinct and smooth and the fragrance of the chili and sesame oils just permeated the dish. I really really enjoyed my bowl, and was full of all the normal beef and veggie fix-ins. I normally dont eat this bowl outside of what my mom cooks (since you know, that's the best standard usually), but I was swoooooned. You kind of need that thin layer of oil to justify how delicious this place is! - Side dishes were standard: fresh seaweed in cho-go-chu-jang, fish cakes, potato salad, korean squash, kimchi.Pros: - Great flavors! I'd rather come back here than BCD, any day! - Small mom and pop shop. - Usually not "as" busy so your wait is not "as" long.Cons: - I cant seem to figure out the best option for parking in this area. So, good luck. Even at 9pm. Overall, I'm a big fan of their soup. Yuk gae jang is a win! I'll be back when I have another craving!

I searched and visited while traveling.I had Budae Jjigae and it was really delicious. This is better than BCDㅅㄷㅂ. The portions are generous and the side dishes are delicious. The cabbage kimchi is a bit salty.Anyway, I ate well.

A mom and pop shop that has many comforting hearty soups! There's parking in the back & plenty of tables inside. Came around 1 pm on a Thursday for their lunch specials of $14.99. It wasn't crowded at all. I got the Gam Ja Tang soup (pork bone stew) and the soup was super flavorful & rich. I felt like the meat was 50% soft/fall of the bone while the other 50% was chewy & tougher. Still a solid deal for $15 though. Not my most favorite place for gam ja tang but still tasty. The beef bulgogi stew & grilled pork bulgogi were pretty decent. I don't really prefer my food on the sweeter side but if you like savory & sweet I would recommend. Overall, pretty yummy! I want to come back & try their kalguksu (chicken noodle soup) & see how it tastes!

My first favorite thing about this restaurant was that I got seated right away. The food was delicious!! I usually don't go to many ma and pa places so I'm glad I came here. It was felt very inviting, and I tried new dishes. The spicy pork stew hoooooooo ma gosh!! I'm very big on sea food. I tried the stir fried squid, because I've been watching a lot of mukbangs where they're eating this and let me tell you.. I devoured the entire plate. The ambiance was quiet and nice. Great place to relax and eat by yourself, or with your pals!

I don't recommend Gamjatang house. The server is rude.

Not sure if I got a bad batch or not l, but the meat was really tough, even after letting it sit for longer. There's not many potato's either. Gamjatang is my favorite dish so this was definitely not

My friend recommended coming here when we were craving Korean food and I noticed there were less items on the menu compared to other Korean places I've been to. Nonetheless, these items offered were delicious and I'm grateful I was able to expand my taste buds to different dishes that I wouldn't have chosen if I went to another place with more items! My friends and I got the Spicy Ham and Sausage Casserole & the Stir-Fried Marinated Bulgogi (Beef). Both these items were enough to satisfy 6 of us when we were sharing! I only know what a typical casserole is like, but seeing a different version of it as a stew intrigued me. The taste was like kimchi tofu soup with ramen! So much flavor and the added ramen was definitely needed to fill us up. As for the bulgogi, we also got sides of purple rice to eat along with it. That along with the banchan made a perfectly assembled meal. It was packed with so much flavor and we were tempted to get another one after finishing it so quickly. Parking is towards the back of the place in a small area. Don't miss out this mom and pop shop!!

My only regret is not coming here sooner. My husband and I came in for the first time for lunch after craving some Korean food. We came on a weekday and it wasn't very busy but there were a few groups dining in. Once we got seated some bonchon side dishes were given out right away. That weekday had a pretty good lunch menu with affordable prices but we wanted their Spicy Pork Casserole instead ($49). It says it feeds about 3 people but I think it can probably feed 4. We got it with ramen (+$3) and a Seafood Pancake ($21). Our Spicy Pork Casserole came with some purple rice on the side. The Casserole came out in a large hot pot with a flame underneath. It had plenty of spicy pork in it and it was delicious and full of flavor. It was on the salty side but it went well with the rice and potatoes in it. They really didn't skim on the meat. The seafood pancake was also really good and was very thick compared to other places that have it. I did wish it came with a dipping sauce though. We ate about half of our food was were stuffed and satisfied. We paid about $70 in total for both of us with left overs. Service wasn't super great but they gave us everything we needed and then disappeared. They didn't check on us we we basically had everything we needed. If you need something you can go and grab them. The food also came out fairly quick so no real complaints. The inside of Gam Ja Tang is very causal. There is parking located in the back.
