Overall service was satisfactory and atmosphere was just Korean restaurant as you expect. Ordered Hang A Ri Kalgooksu but honestly speaking, LA branch had better flavor. When I arrived 11:04AM in the Friday, 70% of seat is already occupied, so when you are planning to visit, you may have some wait times.

Hidden gem Korean spot!
The seafood knife-cut noodles are a must — generous in portion, especially for the price.
The fried tempura plate is easily one of the best I’ve had — light, crisp.
This place is seriously underrated. Foodies should be lining up.

Great noodles!
Great hot noodles and mixed vege fried. When you have more than 6 people, it's hard to get tables together.
It's a store that serves traditional Korean kalguksu in a jar, and I think it's okay because it's large in quantity. I recommend that barley rice and young radish kimchi are worth visiting as a very unique store for free.
The owner may have changed, but the fries were still delicious.

After the meal, I was charged the price including tax, and when I asked if this meant I would be tipped for the tax as well, the staff member did not understand and actually got angry.
During my last visit, the customer at the table next to me said to my face that the tip was low as he was leaving after finishing his meal...

Hang A Ri Kalgooksu is a hidden gem that brings the true flavors of Korean comfort food to life. Tucked away in a quiet corner, this unassuming spot is all about the quality of its food, particularly the kalguksu, a traditional handmade noodle soup.
From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by the warm, homey atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re about to enjoy a meal at a close friend’s house. The star of the menu is, of course, the kalguksu. The broth is rich and deeply flavorful, clearly simmered for hours to achieve that perfect balance of savory and umami. The noodles are the highlight—thick, chewy, and with just the right amount of bite, they’re clearly made with care and attention.
One of the standout dishes was the kimchi kalguksu, which had just the right amount of spice and tang from the kimchi, adding a delightful kick to the soothing broth. The mandu (Korean dumplings) were another must-try, with their thin, delicate skins and generously filled interiors, perfectly steamed to seal in all the juices.
The service was friendly and efficient, with staff who are clearly passionate about the food they serve. They made sure we had everything we needed and were quick to offer recommendations when asked.
Hang A Ri Kalgooksu is the kind of place that keeps you coming back. It’s comforting, authentic, and unpretentious—a perfect spot for a satisfying meal that feels like a warm hug in a bowl. If you’re in the mood for something hearty and homemade, this is the place to go

Boribab and Kimchi are so nice. Only thing is that this store doesn’t accept apple pay. Please keep your plastic card except Amex.
