I'd been meaning to try the Garden Grove location for so but never made it up there. Finally went today & guess what? Today is their last day in business! Only had a few choices left & it was kind of melting so I can't make a real critic of the flavors. The Long Beach location remains open.
It's all right if you like vegan ice cream, the spot itself is a little bit dumpy but it's in a cool area. They have nice staff I tipped well.

I have tried countless vegan/dairy free ice cream shops/ice cream in general all around OC/LA and hug life is still hands down the best dairy free ice cream I have ever tried. No one else gets the consistency and flavor right for vegan ice cream like them!! 10/10 every time

It's amazing that they are the only vegan ice cream shop around! I love all the flavors! Got Thai Tea last time and I love Earl Grey a lot too! I would give them 5 stars, but giving 4 because they were out of Waffle Bowls, Brownies and Cookies, which really make the ice cream experience worth the drive. Also, I enjoyed the vegan jerky and other snacks they previously had available. Please support them regularly if you're dairy free!

I got ice cream in store and ate with my family.. took two pints to go.. I spent 55 bucks.. when I got home turns out their lids doesn’t fit and that’s how they gave it to me.. if they told me.. I would’ve took my money back.. this is honeslty SUPER DISAPPOINTING… I could’ve got two pints from sprouts (vegan ice cream) for 10 bucks by my place..
I tried 2 different flavors and they have no flavor, they just taste like sugar. I don't know why it has 4.8 stars. I get disappointed

Stupid name stupid flavors stupid ownership
I liked the location in Orange, but sadly, they closed. We were craving ice cream and made the trek here. We both got shakes. I got Twix, my lady got Snickers, both with oat milk. The shakes were delicious. Service is very good too. For your Vegan ice cream fix, this is the place to come. Updated from previous review on 2024-07-09
I got the Snickers milkshake (9.7/10)

For the sake of improvement (hopefully) for this business. I think it has declined severely in the passing years. Not only does the atmosphere scream depression but the service was meek and absent . The cash register was non existent and for some reason the money was out on the open . I feel bad for the employees that have to deal with this type.of management really. I can personally taste it in the ice cream. Energy transfer is real and it made my experience here a bit sad.. I almost cried trying to eat my ice cream. And to top it off. The ice cream was already melting by the time I exited the front door. Maybe just a bad batch, but overall poor quality and lacks consistency.. constantly .. .. I will probably never come here again. I try my best to not leave reviews that may hurt the business but y'all need to upgrade the vibe and represent the vegan community better.. I understand budget cuts but quality and good service should never me sabotaged. Def's left a bad taste in my mouth. It's definitely not worth 12.00 for three scoops either .. like the ingredients used are low quality to ... I've always be perplexed by this ..

I got a 3 scoop of Thai ice tea, Vietnamese coffee and rocky road, rocky road and the coffee were my favorite
The ice cream at this place is pretty good. I had the “Cookie Sammich” with rocky road ice cream in between. The shop itself is pretty nice, but the strip mall it is situated in is a bit ghetto. Worth the trip though if you’re craving some creamy ice cream.
The Cookies and cream + mango flavor are sooo goood, love it
