Honestly, the food is good and not the problem. Our tables issue was; all of our dishes came out in 5 minute increments... my food was 1st, then the 2 burgers and fries, then my husband's bacon and eggs, 5 minutes later, his pancakes showed up. Needless to say, my food was warm at best and my hash browns were crispy outside and mushy inside.
Watching the kitchen, there was no delegation: 1 person telling the others what to do and the time they needed it by, instead of everyone young to see the new ticket then work in silence 😑

Kaye’s Kitchen has easily become my go-to breakfast spot in Garden Grove. The food always tastes fresh — especially the omelettes and breakfast burritos — and the portions are perfect. The service feels super friendly and old-school, like a true diner vibe. I love that you can grab brunch here any day of the week without waiting too long. If you’re searching for a classic breakfast or brunch nearby, this place hits every time.

My boyfriend ordered a burger and the bun had mold on it. We had already eaten a couple bites of it. When we told the waitress about it, she didn’t even apologize till after our second order was out, only asked if we wanted to order anything else. My boyfriend was nice so he ordered french toast which was still added to our bill. Terrible service and terrible food. I can’t believe I was charged for our second order.

Ordered no eggs and cheese. Deathly allergic. Business brushed it off. Be careful.

Cockroach in My Food

There was a small cockroach in my food. I still paid because I was not trying to get anything for free, but I didn’t even receive an apology. The waiter simply said, “Oh, it’s a fly,” killed it on the plate with a napkin, and walked away. Health inspection should go immediately. I didn’t take a photo, but it was extremely disgusting.

One of my favorite places in the world. Always good food, and the best kitchen staff and servers in the world. All folk who work there are like family to me.

Got seated right away, servers were on it and the food was fabulous. My husband loved the hamburger. If you are in the area looking for a diner, this is it.

My family and I ordered breakfast burritos and they were great! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had preferred to go and wanted them cut in half and wrapped serials. The waitress was the best and I’d definitely go back to this cute establishment to try other menu items.

Kaye’s Kitchen: A Saturday Tradition Worth Every Bite

For the past four years, every Saturday morning without fail, I’ve made my way to Kaye’s Kitchen — and there’s a reason I keep coming back. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s part of my weekend, my rhythm, and honestly, my peace.

Every visit, I order what the staff now affectionately calls the “Ray Social” — a full stack of pancakes, cooked light, no syrup, and with extra butter. It might sound simple, but at Kaye’s, it’s perfection. The pancakes are consistently fluffy and golden, just the way I like them. The team never misses a beat — they know my order, they greet me like family, and they make me feel right at home.

Over time, it’s become more than just a meal. It’s comfort. It’s community. It’s a place where consistency, kindness, and quality all come together. If you’re looking for a spot that feels like a second home and serves food that keeps you coming back week after week, Kaye’s Kitchen is it.
