MyCha - Garden Grove

When we first discovered this place a couple years ago we were so happy to find soft serve that has a good amount of matcha to taste and we’ve been coming for it every so often, willing to overlook the grime building up. But yesterday when we went I just couldn’t take it anymore! The stained chairs, dust and bugs on window ledges, smudgy window glass, and the last straw are the blobs on the window ledge behind the garbage can right by the door. I think I saw those blobs the previous time we went which was months if not half a year ago. If this place is not cleaned it makes me think they probably don’t ever clean their soft serve ice cream machines either and they’re probably full of worms and the more I think about it the more I’m convinced I’m not going back to this place unless they start posting regular video updates of cleaning out their machines at the least.

I'm a sucker for matcha soft serve, so I had high hopes for this place. Got a matcha sundae, and I have some mixed thoughts. First, the soft serve is really good. There was the option to do matcha and hojicha swirl, and the flavors were great. The other things were...eh. The matcha cake layer was dry without the ice cream, the mochi balls on top were not flavored (so it was more of a texture), cornflakes were fine since it gave texture, but the jelly on the bottom didn't really serve anything in the sundae.
I probably should have ordered just the ice cream because that's the true star of the show.

The drinks and ice cream are amazing! The employees have a disgusting attitude though , very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.

The matcha soft serve was just your average soft serve. It wasn't as creamy as I like it and the matcha flavor wasn't the best. Got it as a float and the green tea itself was just ok. Not the best quality matcha but also not as grassy as other places. Service was a little slow though the people at the counter were nice. The inside of the shop is fairly large though and they do have fighting games for guest to play.

This place does feel overhyped for the quality and price.

Cool joint with a few game systems that are moded to include hundreds of different games which was a huge plus! The Matcha drinks themselves were really good and had great taste and quality ?

MyCha Garden Grove is a matcha lover's paradise that shouldn't be overlooked. Their matcha has an incredibly deep and rich flavor that's truly unique. MyCha doesn't compare to what matcha cafe maiko used to be. I gave it a shot anyways after I saw the new name but it really is not the same. Expect lighter matcha flavors. Still a decent matcha latte but nothing unique. The soft serve is still good

The matcha soft serve here is seriously so amazing, because the quality is so thick, strong, and tastes purely matcha. The staff here crafts each ice cream so well that I wouldn't mind coming back and recommending this place and their ice cream to everyone I know! There's plenty of parking and ambiance was great- very chill, relax with a couple of tables and board games by the wall for you to hang out with your friends, family and significant other!

I tried this place for the first time. I got the matcha vanilla ice cream. Loved the bitter and flavourful taste. Service is good! Definitely go back to try more matcha drink. Highly recommend!
