Used to be a great spot, but now they are no longer halal. Avoid if you came here for halal dining.
Spent 100$ for dinner. I felt ripped off. Portion was small n expensive. Waiter dropped off food n never seen again til we asked for check..food was barely average. Certainly not for 100$. May be 40$. Will not be back for sure.
The location is a bit smaller and located in a plaza. The meat is definitely a higher quality than you would get at AYCE, but it’s a little expensive. Our bill was like $120 for two people and we got three plates of meat. You could probably spend less and get fewer items, but you’d probably leave hungry. We started with the toro and pork belly combination. Our server recommended that we order more food, and she was right. We were still hungry. So we also got a large portion (14 pieces) of toro and an add on portion of Zabuton. The toro is hands down the best thing that we had. I wasn’t particularly too impressed by the Zabuton. It was tender and buttery, but I feel like I’ve had better. I wouldn’t get it again and would definitely not spring for the full size. They were also out of a bunch of stuff when we went. No fish balls with roe, no glass noodles, I can’t even remember everything they were out of because she listed like 5-6 things. I was very disappointed because the fish balls with roe are my favorite thing to get at hot pot. At the very least, our server was very attentive and helpful. But I think I would prefer going to AYCE over this experience.
Very nice experience and staff. Got the bad taste out from another place
My favorite spot for shabu the broth is so good with hot drops to make it spicy to ur liking, meat is good quality to
We were in the area and craving for Shabu Shabu. Stopped by between meal hour so there were no wait.
We ordered the beef sampler for two with spicy sukiyaki and spicy pork base. Also a Makkoji cut with spicy miso base. I personally like the spicy sukiyaki base.
The entire time we were eating there was a lot of white noise, which I think is coming from their vent system. I would strongly suggest the owner to fix it soon.
Although I have ordered from here before this time they served at least 5 Asian families before us and 3 to go orders. Disappointed on this location
Great foods.

This one star is only for the male waiter. I normally don't write reviews but this is for the male waiter with the mullet haircut (wearing Nike panda shoes) today on Tuesday evening. He greeted my gf and I with a deadpan face. I get it.. sometimes you have a rough day and you don't feel like smiling so I'll let that slide. However, when we already left the plaza, my gf told me that she asked him for something and he gave her the index finger up like a child. If I knew, I would've talked to him directly instead of writing this review. Super disrespectful. I come here often and I love this place so please be courteous and respectful to your customers. The 2 female staff that I often see at the front are always awesome. Keep up the good work.

The food here was decent, with fresh ingredients and flavorful broth. However, the experience was marred by a 30-minute wait for the hot pot to boil and inattentive service. While the food was okay, the service issues significantly detracted from the overall dining experienced.

Craving for hotpot so found a joint 45 mins away from the Desert Hills outlet enroute to the hotel. Man, so good, especially when having hotpot during cold weather. But think we ordered too much meat. This was fatty belly and ribeye cut from premium black angus beef. This makes for another perfect day!

The quality of the broth and beef is very good. This place is famous for delicious beer, liqueur or wine. To make your dishes even tastier, order lemonade which is said to be great.

Staffs is extremely rude. And will push you away if they are busy. Do not come to this location. Costa mesa mokkoji all the way. Costa mesa has excellent customer service and staff are super on point and friendly.
