overpriced and not good. was looking for a place to satisfy my craving for bò né. the place i wanted to go to was closed on this day, so i picked Mon Ami. even though it was only 3 stars on Yelp, people's reviews led me to believe it had potential. boy, was i wrong. and that was an expensive lesson. we order 2 bò né and nui xao bo luc lac, and that cost us $60. for lunch! the beef was chewy and the sauce on the skillet was not good. and the sauce on nui xao bo luc lac was way too tomato-y. also, they charge $2 for water! i asked my sister what her rating was, and she said 6/10.

Our favorite place to get bo ne! We've had several other places in the area but this has consistently been our favorite. I get the bo ne with the mushroom sauce, and my fiancé always gets the one with the garlic sauce. The order comes with steak and eggs as well as bread, and salad appetizer. It's always so so filling, and the meat is flavored well with pepper, but my favorite thing to do is add some meat and mushroom sauce to the bread and eat it all together. The only negative thing is the price increased over the years, which is expected because of inflation. So I still recommend this place if you're looking for bo ne!

I eat a lot of pho all the time, from a lot of different restaurants. This place is the best I’ve had in over a decade. The broth is perfect- flavorful, not overly salty, and piping hot. The noodles were cooked to perfection. The meat didn’t have that defrosted-meat texture, it tasted fresh and tender. They gave sooo much vegetables on the side and in the broth. The restaurant was very clean, music was relaxing, and the decor is like a classy French cafe. 10/10. This place healed my soul.

Hmm shocked at the bad reviews, because...I eat a pho very often, from a tons of different pho restaurants. This place is the best I've had in over a decade. Bo Nè Patê Gan and Bo Ne Tieu Den are the best!!!The foods was delicious and the service was great. We like Bo Ne and have been searching a great place for years. But today we are glad to try this restaurant, despite the rating, Bo Ne was delicious. I forgot to tell them that I could not eat rare cooked meat/egg and the waitress was still nicely replaced the dish for me. Great experience!

I heard that this place has one of the best Bo Ne so I went to try it for myself. I got the Bo Ne with Pate Gan and although it was good, I feel like I've had better ones. However, it did come served on a cute decor. Also, the portions were smaller than I would've liked for $19.
I haven't been in this place in years but I came here with my parents on a Sunday. My dad and I had gotten the plate of fries, 2 pate bo ne, and my mom got the vermicelli with shrimp. In total with 2 cokes and 1 water it was $72. They have sooo many options and I honestly can't wait to try more of their food. Service doesn't take that long and everything comes out pretty quickly. Meat is very juicy and not dry at all

Don't let the exterior deceive you! This restaurant fits into the category of Vietnamese "cafe" or "breakfast" restaurants where coffee, and well known Vietnamese and French fusion are served. They are known for their French/Vietnamese cuisine, more specifically their bo ne. What sets this restaurant apart from others is that there are three flavors of bo ne to choose from including garlic butter, black pepper, and mushroom sauce (which I ordered).The mushroom Bo ne was extremely flavorful and came sizzling as soon as it was served to me. They were EXTREMELY generous on the sauce, and I appreciate the sunny side up egg and salad that came with it. The only minor downside I had however was that I asked for it to be cooked medium rare, but instead got either a medium cooked or well done steak. Either way, I throughly enjoyed eating it and was able to finish it easily. Not to mention, the baguette that came with the bo ne was fresh crispy and piping hot. However, if you order iced water do be aware that they only sell water by the bottle and will give you a glass of ice separately. The theming of the restaurant feels as if your stepping foot into an alleyway in France. There were many different decorations placed all throughout the store including a vespa scooter and Van Gogh Paintings.Service was extremely attentive and quick, as everything my party ordered came out as quickly as possible. I'd definitely recommend Mon Ami if you'd like to try authentic and well cooked bo ne!
