Nice little place. I was looking for something different from the normal ramen or pho for dinner. I have had jjambbong at a couple of other places and they were good. This place was also good. I ordered the seafood with a rib soup dish and some dumplings. They did not disappoint. The dumplings were chicken with veggies. I put a couple in my soup and that really upped the flavor. The soup can be spicy to many and being an Asian dish it could start you on fire if not careful. I opted to try it mild and it still had some spice. It was a perfect for a cold night. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

First time coming here and I must say it’s really good! I got the spicy seafood noodle soup and by far I am a fan. I would come back to try something else.

This restaurant is new, but the atmosphere is clean and the jjajang, jjamppong, and sweet and sour pork are fantastic.
I think he is probably a student of Lee Yeon-bok or Yeo Gyeong-rae.
One of our group members fainted while eating, and we only found out when we were busy eating and paying the bill.

I recently came across a new Korean restaurant in Garden Grove called 오빠불짬뽕 (Oppa Bul Jjambbong) while scrolling through Instagram. It’s so new that Google Maps still shows the sign for the previous business! Currently 오빠불짬뽕 is offering a 20% discount on Jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and seafood noodles until October 31, 2024, so of course, I had to go check it out bf it’s too late.
The menu isn’t extensive, featuring typical homestyle Korean-Chinese dishes you’d expect at this kind of place. I decided to try some classics:
▶️ Seafood Jjambbong 해물짬뽕 (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup) - $13.95
The server asked if I wanted “fire” with this dish. I initially thought she was asking if I wanted it spicy, but then I remembered she already asked about the spice level, and I had said mild. After a bit of thinking, I realized she was asking if I wanted the noodles smoked (숯불)! Of course, I said yes. The smoky flavor in this seafood jjambbong was unique and delicious—definitely a must-try!
▶️ Jjajangmyeon 짜장면 (Korean Black Bean Noodles) - $12.95
The sauce wasn’t overly salty, and the noodles were chewy and perfectly cooked. I’d definitely recommend this dish as well.
▶️ Tteokbokki 떡볶이 (Spicy Rice Cakes) - $12.95
I make tteokbokki often at home, so I was curious to try theirs. The rice cakes were chewy, and the fish cakes weren’t overcooked, but I found the spicy sauce a bit lacking in flavor. This dish might be a good option for those who don’t like too much spice.
▶️ Pork Tang Su Yuk 돼지고기탕수육 (Sweet and Sour Pork) - $18.95
The pork was crispy, but the sweet and sour sauce didn’t quite hit the mark for me—it lacked the signature balance of flavors. I probably wouldn’t order this one again.
The portion sizes were generous, and the prices (mostly in $12-15 range) were quite reasonable, especially for satisfying a craving for jjajangmyeon.
Pro tip: Make sure to show the 20% off screenshot for the jjajangmyeon and seafood noodles when paying (the promotion ends on October 31—see the 1st picture I posted). The server wasn’t aware of this discount, so it wasn’t applied initially, but she fixed it once I showed her the screenshot.
They also offered a free drink (worth $4.50) if you leave a five-star Yelp review on the spot, but I wanted to finish my meal and write an honest review later, so I didn’t take advantage of that offer.
🪑 The restaurant is small, with just 7 tables (which can be split into 14 smaller tables).
🚽 The restroom was clean.
🅿️ Parking can be tricky during lunch or dinner times since there are only 10 spots in front of the row of businesses. If you can’t find a spot, you may need to park nearby and walk over.
Overall, this was a satisfying meal, especially with the 20% off deal on noodles. I personally will come back for seafood noodles.

First time going there. It's delicious. The sweet and sour pork is springy and the jjamppong is spicy. I was satisfied. I don't leave comments, but it's delicious. It's true.

Excellent Smokey wok flavor Jambong! I find myself coming back to this restaurant again every weekend. This place is tucked away in the back corner of the small plaza, unassuming but brand new and clean.

It smells like fire and is delicious. A clean Jjamppong that is easy to enjoy as it is not too spicy. The ingredients were plentiful and the portions were plentiful, so I ate it happily. The ingredients taste fresh. I like the clean taste as if it doesn't use a lot of MSG.
Service is also friendly.
I am writing this as a review event, but other than that, I enjoyed it.
I think of this when I want to eat clean Jjamppong.
p.s. The drinks I received as part of the review event were also delicious.

This is a new jjajang and jjambbong place that just opened up. They also have a few other korean dishes here. The jjambbong was a very generous size and taste was outstanding with their signature slight smokey flavor. There are many, many places where you can get jjambbong, but this place did not dissappoint. Super nice workers too!
