Regina has always been a family favorite. Great food and you can even pickup some of your favorite Argentina candy's in the store
If you’re in the area then you have to give this little Argentinian place a try. The service was great and the food was tasty. I got the lemon chicken with rice which was very juicy. I saw a few to go orders with pizzas so I’ll have to try one next time. Highly recommended
Peruvian Argentine cuisine! One of the best places to get authentic leche de tigre and ceviche in Orange County. Great selection of Argentine bbq (parrilladas). Jimmy is the best ??
Entraña Argentine steak was delicious and the fact you can get two different country cuisines is reason we came and were not disappointed. Owner was charming and the Peruvian Ceviche was on point! Muy Rico!!
Very good; my group, diverse, 4 different cultures, 3 Continents, and yet, all fellsatisfied with food and wines. Small places have the enchantment of home-made food
Always great food and service when we visit.
Awesome place to eat. We got bistec a lo pobre and the picante de mariscos. Those plates are delicious!!! We also got the wine flight, which was pretty good, and the charcuterie. The charcuterie couldve been bigger but it was good. This place has never disappointed and the food is exquisite. Its a must try for anybody who wants Argentinian or Peruvian food. Also, everybody is super nice and helpful. They all have good recommendations and they know about food and wines.
Great little gem. Family, classy restaurant. Great friendly service and the food is delicious. I recommend "picante de mariscos" for seafood lovers. And " entraña " if you want quality meat. Beer, products and souvenirs from both countries. The only con that I see is the parking.
2nd time at Regina's. We enjoy the food and service. Nothing is perfect in any restaurant but Regina's warm hospitality and consistency on their food quality makes a trip there well worth it. Tips: they run a small crew so be patient. Expect clean bathrooms and well stocked store with items from south America.
I'll start with my reasoning for the rating because some of the cons may be pros depending on your desired experience. The restuarant is small, quaint if you want to be fancy about it. Parking is severely limited and the service was slow. This dragged out the visit and we came hungry. Now if you plan better and go for the local restuarant experience, this will definitely move to a 4 or 4.5.There is no way you should visit this restaurant without ordering 2 or 3 empanadas. I recommend the beef but all are good. The beef are as close to the ones my aunt made as I have found. Careful though it is easy to fill up on them, so order some to go.Other appetizers are good and will keep you until you order your meal. If you are there for the whole experience have a few beers or grab a bottle of wine. This is how you should enjoy the place, with friends/family a few bottles and lots of small appetizers to keep everyone grounded. When ready I recommend most dishes here. The Parrillada para dos/tres is a great group meal/tasting and encapsulates what Argentinean foods have to offer.Cons: Service like most places. Parking and size of seating.Pros: Essence of a family restuarant. Good food and portions. Service (I know): friendly and welcoming. If you like the menu options and have the time..give this a try.

I ordered a lasagna dish and it didn't taste Italian at all. The was no ricotta cheese, no sausage, and no fennel seed. The pasta wasn't fresh either, but tasted like dried goods from the supermarket. The pasta wasn't boiled well enough to become soft so was still hard to chew. The cook is Argentinian and not Italian. The dish reminds me of "carne molida", a simple dish of pasta and ground beef. The tomato sauce had a strange sweet sauce that didn't taste rich. They brought out a small loaf of bread and chimichurri sauce. The bread was the cheap Italian-American bread, not the French baguette that I'd expected. The chimichurri sauce was ok but not great and the sauce was drenched in olive oil. I am leery to try their other dishes seeing how badly they made their lasagna.
Jaime turned out to be very pleasant as a representative to the place. We ordered a few dishes and were not disappointed with our order to. 3 Ceviche Mixto which meant seafood variety and no fish. Everyone liked it, not perfect, mind you, but certainly fresh and nice serving. 2 Tamales Peruvian style with pork, and very agreeable plus nice size. On the Argentinian side of the menu we ordered 2 breast of chicken with rice, nicely marinated and easy to eat. Many items in the menu piqued our curiosity but there was enough for the four of us. The place also offers assorted goodies which I picked a few that turned out very nice for dessert. Ceviches around $18 a piece which seems to be the going price these days. Tamal $9 each? The chicken plate around $15. Overall we felt well treated and did like their food, from Argentina ?? and Peru ?? under one roof (in alphabetical order), and we met a couple of lovely Argentinian ladies that made the waiting for our take out much nicer. Total $106+, but order was plentiful with salsas and bread thrown in. 4 Stars.
Great server! She was so kind of help me choose the type of wine, on top of that they had amazing specials! Tucked away gem for sure
We like Regina. A nice place with good food. A combination of Argentina and Peru under one roof, with Jaime at the helm, a very pleasant hos.
They always are on time with their to-go orders and catering, even on Christmas Eve. Their papa rellenas are almost as good as my abuelita's. Casi.
