⭐ (1 star) Absolutely outrageous experience at Star BBQ! I’m beyond furious—they had the audacity to slap a 101% tip on my bill without my consent! This is straight-up theft and completely illegal! The sheer nerve of this place to think they can scam customers like this is infuriating. The food and service were already mediocre, but this unethical stunt ruined everything. Save your money and steer clear of this dishonest establishment until they stop ripping people off! Check your bill twice if you dare dine here!
All around, hard-working staff. Always asking if anything else is needed when they pass by. The variety and freshness of protein are always good. Spot has become the fams go to spot for kbbq.

The variety of small dishes that come with the meal were good. I especially liked the kimchi. The flavor was bold, perfectly crunchy and delicious!
The meat was very tasty and tender. I especially liked the beef tongue and the ribeye, however we felt rushed by staff, as they had people on the lunch wait list, so we didn't get to explore as much of the offerings as we would've liked.
The gentleman who served us was polite and professional.
This place is rather small, and there are many other great Korean BBQ places in the area, so I doubt I'd come back because I hate feeling rushed when dining out. We were probably here for less than an hour too, so I don't see why there was any need to rush us.

Star BBQ is a solid spot for KBBQ in Ktown Garden Grove! First, free parking is a big win, and the restaurant itself has a nice entrance, is super clean, and has high ceilings, so you don’t feel cramped or suffocated like in some other KBBQ places.
The food is well-seasoned, and the salad was good. Highly recommend the lemonade, it’s surprisingly good! The only downside was the corn cheese, which came out cold, and the cheese wasn’t melted anymore, which was a bit disappointing.
There’s no reservation, so you just have to show up and wait in line, but the staff is friendly and keeps things moving.
Definitely a great spot for group gatherings if you’re in K-town Garden Grove! Would come back for sure. 4.5 out of 5
I came here with my son to celebrate my birthday. We were so satisfied with the service, we waited for a while. But definitely worth it! Specially the baby octopuses!! 🐙

Had the greatest waiter, his name is Robert! Super cool friendly waiter. EVERYONE else had HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! One of the girl waitresses had the nastiest attitude.
