We come here almost every week for their pork belly in clay pot and Thai seafood soup. Their food consistently tastes delicious and the price is reasonable. In terms of customer service the waiters are very diligent and the owner is very friendly as well. One negative is parking can be a hassle to find at times. Other than that we have had a great experience overall coming here.

Solid mom and pop shop serving vietnamese food. I like to order the family style meal here to share with the table. Service is always really good, especially for an asian business. They were very kind and checked up on us a lot. Ambience is casual.

Ca kho to repeat order...really, really good! Got to try their other dishes. First time here and was really impressed with the cleanliness, the service and the catfish dish I had.

Stepping into Thanh Do, I felt like I'd traveled back in time--no, not to an era of exquisite, ancient recipes, but to a black-and-white TV era courtesy of their grayscale menu. C'mon, folks! It's the 21st century! Even my grandma's knitting patterns have more color. Now, let's talk about that "sour fish soup," shall we? Imagine going fishing, forgetting the bait, and just dunking your rod into a municipal water supply. Voila! You've got Thanh Do's signature dish. Missing the pot and burner is like serving a burger without the patty--half the experience is MIA. As for the bamboo shoots, they had the texture of overcooked pasta on a bad first date--soft, uninteresting, and leaving you questioning your life choices. Moving on to the fish salt dish. If a fish could go bad in college, flunk out, and then decide to crash on your plate for a while, that's this dish. It smelled like regret and tasted like indifference. I'd advise the chef to play food tourist and swing by Hien Thanh to taste what they're missing. But until then, I'll be bypassing Thanh Do faster than a lactose intolerant running from a cheese festival. Not my jam, folks. Not my jam at all.

That's the kind of can-do attitude we're looking for.Thanh Do Restaurant is a very well-Yelped restaurant that replaced a favorite of mine, Tai Buu. Boasting a 4.7 star rating at this moment, this restaurant had a pretty full dining room when we arrived. Fortunately, we were picking up a takeout order which they even notified us via phone when it was ready.I'm always looking for certain dishes, such as their #73 Bo Luc Lac ($11.95), aka Shaken Beef. They do a great version. The meat is super tender and it's seasoned well, but the lime/salt/pepper condiment livens up the show. The veggies are fine but not especially generous. I'd definitely order this again though.I also tried the #56 Ca Bong Lau Kho ($10.95), or Catfish in Clay Pot. The catfish was very tender, but it was perhaps a little bland. I wouldn't have minded a more intense sauce in both saltiness and caramel character.Lastly, I had some of the #32 Canh Bac Ga Ca ($16.95), which is their sweet and sour soup with taro stem, bean sprouts, pineapple, and catfish. It's not heavy, but it's full of flavor. I would also recommend this dish.Thanh Do is a pretty good option for Vietnamese food in the area. I wouldn't mind having some of their dishes again while exploring more of their fairly extensive menu.

Went here for the first time. I was so shocked that what ever dish you ordered it doesn’t come with rice. They charged an extra $1.50 extra per person for the rice. Never been to an Asian restaurant that charges you for rice with your entre. The food was average, won’t be back.

A truly great authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Every dish we ordered was amazing. A member of our group came from Vietnam a few months ago and had high praises for the food for its authenticity and flavor profile just like in VN. The service was attentive; perhaps it was because we had an early lunch here before the restaurant got busy. Parking is really hard as the restaurant is located in a very small complex with limited and narrow parking spaces.

My parents love this place and I went to try it once with them and overall I enjoyed the food. Service here was great, the lady who owns it is so classy and she was so nice! They really keep the place clean. Food was good, but it is on the salty side for me. I tend to make my food low sodium so it was really salty most of the dishes here for me. But I would come again to try other items on the menu. The only thing you need to look out for here is the parking. They have a small parking lot so it's better if you don't come during rush hour!
