Well seasoned and delicious seafood. I enjoy spicy food but the medium level spice was too spicy for me lol !

Perfect for people who want to suck and spit their seafood at home and not in public. Don't need to worry about long wait times to sit in the restaurant this spot is solely for take out. They have always been generous with their extra limes and salt & pep requests. You can call ahead and if they aren't busy orders are ready in like 15 minutes! Don't forget to ask for table covering and bibs so you can have the same experience at home as if you were in the restaurant. Pro tip, get some of your own plastic gloves so you don't have stanky sauce fingers.

Andy was the man! I walked in and he immediately came to help me! I said I had a pick up order he then proceeded to ask for the last 4 of my phone number for verification, I loved that shows he's double checking everything. Secondly he read my order back to me, I at this point was very pleased with that, but then to top it off he grabbed my bag, put it in front of me and proceeded to pull out each item to show me everything was there. That was awesome, and to top it off he made me check to see if the amount being charged was the same as my receipt. That was above and beyond. Nice work Andy!

The gumbo at The Boiling Crab is the bomb! Packed with fresh seafood, flavorful spices, and a rich broth, it's a Cajun

Service was great. Very friendly staff took my order and explain the sources to me as it was my first time there. The food was not as good as the services. We order crawfish, shrimps, blue crabs, potatoes and corn. Shrimp meat had no flavor the blue crabs were very dry and no flavor. The only thing that was flavorful was the corn and potatoes.

Great seafood and service. Ambiance is southern homey but I like it! I love their king crab with whole-sha-bang!

Whew where can I start... everybody knows boiling crab is the OG seafood boil place, especially the one on Brookhurst in my opinion. I honestly haven't ate here in a couple of years because they started to get a little skimpy with the sauce in the bag, but overall it's my favorite and I believe it's the best tasting - especially the whole shebang. Other places have a sweeter sauce and just not that original sauce that's perfect. I came here last night at 8pm and ordered 2lbs shrimp, calamari, and rice. I love having the perfect bite with sauce on my rice and a piece of shrimp. However, the sauce was straight butter like pure oil. It was terrible, just mouthfuls of butter sauce. It could've been a good lobster marinade or something but definitely not the boiling crab sauce I once remembered. I could barely take in a few spoons of rice because the sauce in the bag was just oil, usually it's full of garlic flavor and that nice chunky cajun thicker sauce... when I tell you we scooped way under the shrimp to find the sauce they were talking about, it was a pool of "sauce" as thin as water which was butter. I'm still so upset this next morning. I also would think the shrimp would be really fresh since this place is always crackin, but all 2lbs of our shrimp was old. You can tell it's old when the shrimp is too soft versus a little firm meaning it's fresh. They were all soft and sort of mushy. The calamari was also not what I thought it'd be. It was not crunchy at all and super oily. Their batter style had the shell of the ring pieces falling right off to the point where I had a box full of fried pieces that weren't even crispy or crunchy at all. I'm still in shock, I always have boiling crab their flowers for having the best of the best and tht they deserve all their customer traffic, but man this place is seeming overrated and lost its original taste, quality, and service.

First Time at this restaurant. Seafood was delicious. Fun ? Staff was amazing they explained the menu to us and how it would be served. Chose the perfect restaurant for dinner. Would definitely return .

Ordered dinner from here for my husband and I. We ordered the 1 lb shrimp, an order of the blue crab and two gumbo soups with rice. I was a bit disappointed because if you eat at the restaurant usually the bag of shrimp comes with the corn and sausage but ordering online just to get those items they are like a $5-$7 add on item for each. Overall the food was very tasty , the seasoning blend was just done very well WARNING if you are NOT a spicy eater the mild blend seasoning has a hot kick! So I'd say get the lowest seasoning blend. Another disappointing thing is that we ordered the gumbo soup with rice but it was literally a tablespoon of rice inside the soup at the restaurant I've gotten a cup of rice with my soup. . Overall price for add in's and the amount given for the add one isn't really worth it if ordering online.

I only order to go because they're quick and reliable. So much better than waiting forever to get in to the restaurant.

Bad service. Gave no tip. First time here and my dad had ordered 4 pound bags of shrimp for dinner & we usually like to order extra sauce because the sauce is good. They wouldn't sell two small containers of the sauce and instead suggested that they give us all 4 pounds with just shrimp and no sauce in the bags and give us the sauce separately in the containers and that we will pay $10 extra for each container. WHAT ? Haha that was insanely hilarious, that is the type of service that drives people away. STAY AWAY. Save your time and go to the actual restaurant, friendlier and you save more money that way because the shrimp was crap anyways, VERY DRY.

Ordered 2lbs of shrimps and 1lb of mussels. Good portion for 3 ppl and we loved their whole sha bang sauce a lot! I used to live in LA and the wait time to pick up the food in LA was at least 50 min but here in OC, we waited only about 15 min. Highly recommended!
