I had never had Korean food and it was a great experience. The wait is long even though we went at 4:30 thinking that was early. It was not. We probably waited about 40 - 45 min. We did have the Korean BBQ 2 person which was a great sample of so many dishes. They just kept bringing food. I'm not sure what we were eating but it was all good food. They cooked the meat at the table in front of us and it's not BBQ like I think of BBQ. It was just cooked meat and they brought different sauces you could cook it in. Overall a great experience.

The kalbi was excellent, and the tableside waiters cooked it hot and fresh. The seafood pajun was extraordinary. We went at 2 pm and avoided the crowd and the wait.

Local Juice spot. Owner is really nice. Been at this location for 3 years and I didnt even know!Legit Mangonadas and drinks. Limited mexican candy selection. Next to one of the best Korean soup spots in Orange County.Shop is fairly small. Parking is easy. Worth coming here at least to check it out once.

While you can get excellent Korean BBQ here, their other traditional dishes are also excellent. The little cold dishes and hot dishes that come with the meals are tasty and not too salty. Highly recommend coming for either, sure to please the whole family.

My family is a huge fan of KBBQ places and in recent years we’ve been avid customers. My mom wanted to go out to celebrate my brother and my dad’s upcoming birthdays so we decided to meet in Garden Grove for KBBQ. At first, she asked if we wanted to go to an AYCE place but after discussing it with my brother, we decided on a place that was a la carte. I found Mo Ran Gak from searching and it seemed to fit what we were looking for. As I noted from the reviews, the restaurant opens at 11 am and it gets packed to the gills. The parking lot is small so I told my parents to park on the residential street nearby. I accidentally turned into a lot next door and parked there. Luckily I wasn’t ticketed or towed, so if you want to take your chances, feel free. I walked in at 11 am and was able to get us a table. The restaurant has a main room and an expanded back room. This type of restaurant caters to the consumer. You pay for meal sets and can add extra if you so choose. We opted for a meal for 3 people even though there were 4 of us in the party. My brother mentioned when he sat down that he wasn’t particularly hungry. We also ordered an additional soybean paste soup with beef. The meal combination we ordered was a non-premium set that came with brisket, pork belly, and marinated boneless short rib. It also came with one steamed egg and one tofu soup. The soup and egg are meant to be shared. The banchan came out shortly after we ordered and we were able to get refills on that and the salad as we ate. The servers alternated for us but they did all the cooking and we were able to get additional banchan when needed. The meat quality was definitely better than AYCE places. The experience was definitely better than the AYCE places and the pricing was similar. If your bill is over a certain amount and you pay in cash, your check is discounted by 7%. I only had a credit card but my dad had cash. Score! Overall, it was a great meal and by the time we left, there was a large amount of people waiting for a table.

I mainly go the for the Juices, most of the time i get the Vampiro with some Garlic, options are $4, $5 and $6. You know its fresh because they make it in front of you.

I know there are lots of folks out there who would have no reservation recommending this place for Korean BBQ outside of LA. In fact, it is packed with people who have to queue up from 4pm to have dinner before 6pm. If you come after 5pm, most likely your supper will start from 7 pm. But that's all I can say about this restaurant - the unpleasant waiting experience. Meat is not high quality for the price; the serving staff unkind and easily agitated; service very slow; and food simply not tasty. If you have to eat Korean BBQ in Orange County, please avoid this place and choose a different option.

It's a little intimidating to be the only white people in a restaurant, but if you can get over that, you'll be rewarded with great food. We ordered the set meal for two, and fairly quickly we were sitting in front of a table full of side dishes. There must have been at least 10 different bowls, each with a totally different dish. If you don't like something, there's plenty of other things, and quantity isn't a problem. Soon the waiter brought a try of raw meat, and started cooking some at our table. It was tender and tasty. This was repeated three times, until all the meat was cooked, and we were both very full.

Just a a fantastic experience. The food, service, and atmosphere was excellent. A great family restaurant. Everything was fresh, our server attentive and the place was packed on a Tuesday. I've eaten traditional Korean meals in South Korean and this was every bit as good. A little pricey, but worth it. Highly recommend. Thank you for a memorable meal.

First time here but my brother and my kids have been here before. The place gets quite full, so we made sure to be there as soon as it opened for lunch. It didn’t take long after we got there for it to get full.we got the combination for 4 with boneless brisket, chicken and pork and a side order of bone soup. It was a lot of good food. The bone soup was nutritious. Loved this place.
