Alas, the pandemic claims yet another victim. The much beloved At Home Kitchen was replaced by a new restaurant. At Home Kitchen used to be one of my favorite lunch spots, now it's gone forever.I didn't try the new place, but all the reviews so far aren't so promising. I should keep an open mind and give it a try next week.

Visited today, they are permanently closed. I will miss at home kitchen forever. All the hard work that Sam, at home kitchen owner, puts into all his food is highly respected. I tried to buy another places' bento, they are just not at the level of Sam. My fellow friends of south bay will miss at home kitchen forever! Now it is taken over by a new japanese american restaurant.

Support your local businesses like this one! We normally call in to get the Bento of the Day and a side of Chicken Katsu and it's always good.

Simple contemporary Japanese food. Good value and variety. One of my favorite lunch spots but it makes an alright dinner as well.

They have very traditional Japanese Plates and Daily Special Bento Box with About 13 items of delicacy. I’m highly recommending to all my friends. Owner Chef “Sam” always create thoughtful menus.

I’ve traveled all the way from Nashville for affordable, generous portion and very friendly atmosphere. The flavor resembles my grandparents cooking back home. I would love to visit again.

Delicious authentic Japanese comfort food at a reasonable price, nice atmosphere. The beef teriyaki, tempura, and salad were very satisfying. Ate every bit of our meal. That's a good sign. Will be back. Thank you!!!

Went here with my friends for lunch. The restaurant was clean & bright. Parking is hard since it's a small mall & very few parking slots. Was able to get street parking though. I had the grilled mackerel set which had mixed tempura, rice, & salad. It was a good portion & very reasonable. My friends had karaage set, menchi katsu, & salmon collar. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Definitely coming back here.

This is the perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. This is a hidden gem. It's almost unnoticeable and you can easily drive past it because it's not one of those places that try to advertise their food out in the open. I would have never known of this place if it wasn't for one of my friends who used to live in the area and came here all the time with his wife. He highly recommended me to get the bentos. Of course I didn't listen and I ordered salad. I got the tofu salad. The tofu was super fresh---the freshest I've ever had. It was amazing! I would have loved to try the bento and the ramen if I ever came back to visit LA.

Great price point for amazing home style Japanese food. Small dining room so get there early or off hours if you want to eat in. Or better yet take out.
