“Coffee is weak, weak, weak, unless brown water is your thing. The 7-11 next door isn't much better. The ladies behind the counter offer prompt service. This donut shop is where I first tried a cronut. The glazed is my favourite & is the favourite of others as well, as they tend to sell out of this variety before the others.“

“A customer of mine gave me several bagels from Stevie’s, and they were amazing! I had one with chili oil and garlic and it was amazing! Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for an adventuresome flavor and like a little heat. Will definitely be back to try them again!“

“I used DoorDash to order a bagel lox plate and an egg, meat, cheese bagel sandwich and some coffees. Unfortunately when I got back to my hotel, my order was missing the meat/cheese sandwich. The girls at the counter were really nice when I picked up the order & also when I called. I should’ve checked the bag but it was super heavy so I didn’t even think to. That being said - the lox bagel plate was massive! Huge portions and worth the money I would say. Sadly my husband doesn’t eat salmon/lox so he was out of luck. My lox bagel plate was really delicious and the latte was really good too. If I lived in the area I would for sure return, as I understand mistakes happen. I did receive a call from the store to let me know they were out of everything bagels (I missed it) so maybe they didn’t make the bagel sandwich I asked for because of that? Either way - I recommend this place ! If I’m in the area again I would come back. It seemed pretty busy in there on a Sunday morning.“

Budget lunch options in Sawtelle are hard to come by. At NY Bagel and Deli, you can get a good old fashion new york style bagel for less than $10 (including an add on and the egg surcharge). Their bagels seemed to be made in house. I found their everything bagel to be delicious! It was very filling as well.

I came later around 1pm and they ran out of hashbrowns. Hoping they have hashbrowns the next time I visit!“

“This place is severely understaffed. The employees are hard working, as I sat for my order they were friendly but I saw the urgency was a little overwhelming, people can’t help but feel bad. I am really concerned for their well being as they are often under staffed. There should be Atleast 4 people working at all times. As a business owner myself I’d never just have 2 or 3 employees in what seems to be such a high volume shop. Those are horrible working conditions. Your employees are outstanding, please treat them better.“

“Everything about Olive and Rose is thoughtful, well designed, and delicious. My new favorite cocktail is their Pear Pressure. Service is top notch. I appreciate that they always have at least a couple amazing vegetable based dishes on the menu. I seriously wish I could afford to eat here more often-to be clear, the food and drinks are well worth the cost.“

“Got 4 items for $31: 2 Large drinks 1 medium drink (ranging from $5-$6) and a bagel that cost ~$14. It was all yummy especially the thai tea and cookies and cream. The bagel shop is filled with cute funny bagel decorations as well which added a nicer touch. Will be coming here again!“

“Stopped in for my first time this past weekend and thought they were pretty good. It’s true that this is not my favorite bagel spot in LA but I live very close by to it so it’s conveniently located for me and it really hit the spot this past Sunday morning. They don’t really have indoor seating, and it’s not very large on the inside because it is more of a to go type of spot however it’s not quite as quick as some of the other bagel spots. They seemed to have less staff than some of the others, so that could be the cause. The menu is quite large and they have a lot of great bagel flavor options. It’s located in a shopping mall so there’s plenty of free parking attached and close by. The lady behind the counter was polite and there were a lot of other customers in there as well so it seems like it’s a popular place.

My first visit I chose an Everything Bagel with cream cheese, avocado, and chorizo and enjoyed it. I wish the chorizo would’ve been spicier and had a little bit more flavor, but the other components were really good. The Everything Bagel was a little bit heavy on the sesame, but still I enjoyed it. We also tried one of the Garlic Bagels, and thought it was actually very nice. It was not overly garlicky but well balanced. I would give this place another try in the future and would recommend to anyone in the area.“

“Fantastic! Very lovely people own and work in this outstanding bakery. Everything is utterly delicious. They do sell out by about 2:30 though. It’s reasonably priced too. My only gripe is that the payment machine-thingie doesn’t an option for tips so you have to leave a cash tip.“
