If you ok with the noise, the smoking outside because of the barber shop next door rolling up Gunga you'll be fine outher than that the fish at to bad try it for your self.

Well, it was 1st time great. I went back a 2nd time, and I got a negative feeling when I asked for something. 3rd time something wasn't right, I'll probably return, but I will not order the pounds I asked for in the beginning. I don't like the skin part on the cat fish it didn't look or taste right. I wanted it like my 1st time. Maybe that had just gotten the fish in that day fresh, or it's the scrappy leftovers at weeks' end. IDK Something was not right the 2nd & 3rd time 🤔 I can't put my finger on it..

I visited the Bates fish market earlier today, and it's always hit or miss. Unfortunately, it's more of a miss than a hit most of the time. My fish is often not cooked properly. Today, I ordered a basa swai lunch combo, but the inside was mushy and undercooked. I won't be going back.

This place is terrible, an complete joke, they literally cut one piece of fish into small portions, for example if u order a 3 piece lunch u will receive 1 whole piece cut into 3 portions, everything is Over priced and not to mention poorly seasoned. I will NOT be back!!!!!!
Ordered chicken curry... hardly NO chicken all bell peppers! Not worth the money

The seasoning can be inconsistent at times, but I find this to be the case at all you buy we fry restaurants. I still love Bates Fish and will definitely go back.

Everything is cooked well and the price for what you get is great. Everything tastes like it's supposed to! Nothing is fried too hard or too soft. Fries are great too.
