Having lived in Italy for nearly a decade, I constantly seek out authentic Italian cuisine.
Among the many places I’ve tried, this restaurant is one of the few I return to whenever I miss real Italian food.
Though I haven’t explored the entire menu — and some dishes are clearly adapted to local tastes — I now stick to the penne all’arrabbiata and calzone, both of which are very close to what you’d find in Italy and never fail to satisfy.

I was surprised to find such a wonderful Italian restaurant in a corner of the warehouse district.
This is a store that is guaranteed to be a repeat customer. It made me want to go again the next day.

The store is probably a renovated warehouse, so the ceiling is high and the space is vast.

We ordered pizza, pasta, and risotto, and all the dishes were reasonably priced and very delicious.
The mushroom risotto in particular...

The Mimmo pizza is the best pizza I have had in LA. This unassuming genuine Italian eatery in a secluded little spot is so great. I can’t describe it.
We ordered the arancini balls and they were okay. But the pizzas were divine!
The Mimmo pizza has fresh homemade bursts on it and at the price point is perfect.
