I went here for the first time maybe 20 years ago and the same friend I went with then recently suggested we go here for brunch. The only time I had been here, I had grilled Saba for the first time. I always called this bait 😂 but it was amazing. I tried the Chicken Katsu Donburi this time and it was good as well. Service was ok, had to ask for our drinks to be brought after our food arrived which is the reason for 4 stars for service.
Granted they were busy but the servers also seemed to have some regular customers that they chatted with multiple times while we were there which might have had their focus and attention. Other than that, great food and atmosphere, would def go here again to try more menu items.
Don't forget about bowling 😁 They also have a decent sized billiards room and small video arcade for the kiddies.

I promise this place is one of a kind! They are super sweet and kind! It takes me back in time for sure! I ordered their famous garlic chicken and fried rice with sausage. I loved both, but I think their fried rice with bacon is much better! Overall, my experience here surpassed my expectations! The garlic chicken has a lot of flavor that I didn't think it was going to have! Super good! My only bad thing about it is that it does have nerves & pieces of fat, but other than that, it was delicious !
Need to come for sure !

This is a great spot for breakfast, especially if you want authentic Hawaiian food. Their homemade Portuguese sausage is amazing! Hawaiian French Toast is really good, too. Friendly family atmosphere. The bowling alley, billards, and restrooms are clean! This location is close enough for us to walk to from our house, too. That's always a plus for us.

Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop is a mom and pop restaurant that offers yummy Hawaiian fare and personable service. I went for breakfast this morning and had the Portuguese sausage mix plate with rice. The Portuguese house made sausage was tasty mixed with the sautéed green onions, and scrambled eggs were delightful.

I usually go to Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop for the delicious egg foo young. In my opinion, their egg foo young is top shelf: eggs, sprouts, green oinions os scrumptious. They make THE best gravy to top off their egg foo young. They also use the gravy on their loco moco. You gotta try the pork fried rice as well with the green onions, slightly sweet bbg pork, yum!

The servings are pretty big and filling as well.

Vegetarian options: Serving one of the best egg foo young and gravy in the Southbay! ??

Parking: If the bowling alley is busy, parcking in the parking lot may be limited. However,.I've not had a problem finding a space during busy hours.

Seriously the best food in Gardena. Garlic chicken plate with kimchi friend rice for the win!
The rice is a massive size and the food is so fresh and tasty. I could eat this daily! Great price point and great food. Cool diner vibe and old school style. Love it!

The pins are on strings now and bowling is not realistic. The kids that run the desk are rude to old folks.

Amazing coffee shop with fantastic food and great service! The owners are fantastic, the place is packed with locals, and the food never misses. Easy parking in the bowling alley lot or just outside on the street. Hearty Hawaiian/Asian food that's fast, no fuss, and always delicious ? Oxtail soup and kimchi bacon fried rice are a must for me!
