I stopped by Island Reggae and went with the two-meat comboācurry goat and oxtail, my absolute favorites. Both were packed with flavor and cooked just right. The curry goat was tender with just the right kick, and the oxtail was rich and fall-off-the-bone good. The portion was generous, and the seasoning hit all the right notes. The vibe in the restaurant was chill and welcoming, which added to the experience. Definitely a solid spot if you're craving some well-made island comfort food. Iāll be back for sure!

probably the best Jamaican food I've had. oxtail and curry chicken was wonderful. The rice and peas was perfectly cooked and was juicy. I can't describe how good the mac & cheese was. The staff were down to earth and kind. There's a lot of food gems in Gardena but Island Reggae is my favorite

The food here is good. But as usual, the Jamaican no customer service is apparent. I'm not sure why places like this have an attitude when they are asked about their food. Less attitude, and I would have given 5 stars.

Iāve experienced hell today . Do not be surprised if I pass away like the pacqui chip kid tomorrow . Itās so spicy , that the taste is unbearable . š£ The smell is beautiful . The taste made me almost throw up . My heart , organs , I canāt think rn . It hurts to breathe .
Too expensive for the quality . Iām not ok . My face burns . I can not stop the burning sensation .

THE FOOD SO GOOD I FORGET TO TAKE PICTURES OUR FOOD BARELY MAKES IT BACK TO THE INLAND EMPIRE. & WE DRIVE FOR THEIR OXTAILS RICE AND PEAS MAC AND CHEESE AND MEAT PIES OH AND THOSE JUICES TOO. Letās just say I was in Jamaica ?? I loved it but the food here at this place I love better the food be seasoned good rice fluffy drinks be good and their cabbage too heck everything good this spot is a must try if your craving Jamaican food it takes you there I hope they never stop cookingā¦This is what you call true authenticityā¦ FUNNY STORY: My daughter sent me to LA and she ordered at the wrong place and not Island Raggae I told my husband I Refuse to get out the car and called my daughter back and said this is the wrong place you sent me and you better order at Island Raggae kitchen now or else you wonāt be getting a plate itās that serious food 20/20 hands down. A MUST TRY FOR JAMAICAN FOOD ?

I had high hopes for the oxtails. Super disappointed as they were CHEWY, not well seasoned and the gravy was WATERY. Definitely NOT the slow cooked, fall off the bone, thick gravy with peas that you are looking for.

Today was my first time trying this restaurant alone with my son . Didn't know what to expect didn't have the aroma in the restaurant lol. But when we got our plates we were gonna wait to eat it at home but we didn't leave the parking lot the food is awesome., chicken falls right off the bones curry just right The food. Is good the cook/ cashier was cool. We will be going back .

The food was served really quick and it was good delicious. All though, they don't reveal any ingredients for the drinks which is disappointing cause we were fooled thinking their special drinks ( Watermelon punch) was carbonation. The restaurant was really homely reminding me of my home country Kenya. But the Regaee punch, jerk chicken combo, and both of their meat patties were to dieeee for ?
Dietary restrictions: The food is soul food which is packed with fat and sugar, the food was perfectly salted ( barely none to some) which I enjoyed But this was definitely not healthy ?
