Found this place by accident! We went to another place for Korean bbq but the menu didn't look great so we did a quick google search and found this hidden gem! The service was great and everything came out do quickly! I got the soup & my partner got the galbi that came with a small soybean soup. Everything was super flavorful and I think we both agreed that we must visit this place again of we're craving a comforting meal.

Food was soso and expensive. Too salty too. No lunch menu too. I couldn't find any good point. Sorry

Came here early on weekend. Place was quiet and clean. Got the Mixed Soup with rice and Pork with rice soup. The food came quickly. The banchan was okay. The meat is very tender. The broth reminds me of Jinsol Gukbap in Korea town. This definitely a more convenient and tasty alternative. We ended up taking extra home. The waitress was very nice. She knew we wanted to take the rice home. Most places I have to ask for containers for the rice.

Came to grab lunch with my coworker. We had previously been here and we had shared a meal had no issues they were friendly and even gave us extra sides. It was totally the opposite today. We asked for extra side (meaning kimchi , pickled onion , rice , pickled radish) like we previously did and they kept on acting stupid. We mentioned that we ere going to pay for the extra sides and they kept on acting dumb. We kept on insisting that we were paying, I don't understand what' was the big issue . The orders are a good size and could be shareable . I don't understand why they couldn't serve us the extra sides the meals come with. I felt as they were being prejudice against us . I didn't want to go there but they made me feel unwanted. Once they brought a man from the kitchen to ask us what we wanted , I felt that the servers took it to another level so we decided to leave . NEVER EVER going back. I rather take my business elsewhere.

Went for noodles but the business had been changed. We went in anyway to try new venue. I had a bowl of beef bone broth soup and it was very good. Broth was rich and delicious. Four kind of kimchi panchan. Was great homestyle comfort food. Can't wait trying another dishes.

We love Korean food and we are fortunate enough to live in South Bay where Korean food thrives. Jagalchi is among one of our favorite places to go. It has something special to offer: A set course of live halibut sashimi. It is kind of expensive at $150 per set but it comes with a lot of food. First, we get 4 delicious seafood side dishes of seaweed, sea squirt, octopus, and sea conch. While we are devouring the sides, the amazing halibut sashimi arrives on our table. The freshness of the sashimi is truly showcased. Shortly after, we get a pot of soy sauce based soup with fish balls, fried bean curd, and chrysanthemum leaves. Another plate of halibut ceviche comes afterwards. Then, we get the final dish of our halibut which is pan fried halibut boned loin. The pan fried fish is so tender and flaky. By now, the three of us are beyond full. But wait, we still have more food coming. Lastly, we have a pot of seafood stew with a couple ban Chan. We end up have to pack the stew home. We totally love our dinner here at Ja Gal Chi. Not only the food is tasteful but the service is wonderful. The staff members are attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back to try their other dishes.p

Just came to Jagalchi to try out their live Halibut course. I must say it definitely did not disappoint. Each dish was well prepared. The fish was so fresh and tasty and the service was amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves Seafood and Korean food.

Food: The spicy soup tastes homemade. Perfect for the cold weather. The soondubu was very flavorful and had a special soybean taste. The pork ribs were perfectly chard and the flavor was balanced. The meat was high quality. I wish the banchan had more variety, but the kimchi's were very good. Service: The service was fast and attentive. Ambiance: The place is cozy and very clean. Parking: It was easy to find parking and it was free.

I've been traveling to the western United States with my parents and have been eating only at Korean restaurants for two weeks, and this place is really the best. The food tastes better than any Korean restaurant. In particular, the Sundae Gukbap really reminds me of Busan.

A new restaurant in town, at where Kyodong Noodles used to be. Friendly staff and tasty soups, giving us a decent Korean comfort food option in South Bay. Even the side dishes (a few types of kimchi) were great. Hope they last long. :)

In less than an hour we ordered, got our food and ate everything! I enjoyed the spicy beef soup with brisket. If you enjoy some kick, I would recommend it. My boyfriend enjoyed the ox-bone broth. And we both ordered dumplings as well, I have to say the dumplings were my favorite part.

The banchan's and food we ordered was very good. The portions are sufficient for 2 people. At other Korean restaurants I have tried, they rush you to eat so they can have greater turnover for a table, especially at BBQ places where they dump the entire order of meat on the grill at one time. Although this is not a grill place, there service was very good and I didn't feel pressured to eat and leave as soon as possible.
