Not sure why it took me so long to come here, but this is now a top 3 ramen spot in the South Bay for me.
Nestled in an unassuming strip mall, Jidaiya offers authentic Japanese ramen with broth from various regions with layers of complexity. We really enjoyed Spicy Shio Tonkotsu Noodle. It has a strong toasty sesame flavor that is absorbed by the thick ramen noodles. The Tokyo Shoyu Tsukimi-Yatai was also delicious. It was refreshing, light, yet rich. Don't forget to upgrade it to a combination with ramen.
Amazing price and value. High quality food. Fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service. Plenty of free parking. Expect to spend $20-25 per person after tax & tip. Definitely a must try!

My son absolutely enjoyed this ramen š. He said he could feel the love which made him happy. I was also coming down with a fever and I ate the spicy shiyo tonkotsu which had a lot of garlic and some hot green tea and I instantly felt better ⨠the magical ramen spot

Amazing broth and great service, bravo!!!
Oh my gosh, this place is incredible. From the simple cabbage salad, to the curry rice, to the tonkotsu ramen, it was all fantastic! Crazy flavors and really affordable prices. The chashu pork is amazing, so tender and flavorful. New favorite ramen joint for sure.

Great spot for some ramen. The wife and I enjoyed the food and filled our ramen craving. I had the Tokyo ramen, and the wife had the Spicy Miso. Both had great broth, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. We will be eating here again in the future.

Spicy Shio Ramen (spicy level 3) was on the salty side but still tasted good. But the Miso Tonkotsu Ramen was way too salty for me. And I was very disappointed with the Takoyaki -- the outside was too mushy and they didn't have bonito flakes on top.

Iām sure the other ramen is great, but PLEASE remove the vegetable ramen from your menu. It tasted like watered-down minestrone soup with corn and noodles. We went in last year and still talk about it as a benchmark for bad meals lol
Happy to remove this review once the āramenā is eliminated from history.

Awful service, we waited for fifteen minutes just inside the door. Plenty of open tables, nobody else in line, our name at the top of the paper waitlist, but the staff didnāt acknowledge us at all. Just a waste of time. I just moved back to the U.S. from Japan and this place couldnāt have presented starker contrast with the fantastic service available in Japan.

Terrible decision to go for dinner
the shoyu ramen was ok. the takoyki had a large ratio of flour to octopus, and our waiter got our order wrong, but it's just a translation error I'm betting. just make sure to double check.
