Picked someone up at Los Angeles Airport and arrived early. I was delighted to find this authentic Japanese ramen shop nearby. The prices are affordable and the flavors are genuine. I might consider coming here more often when I go to the airport in the future. While waiting for the ramen, I looked up some information and found out that this area has the one of the highest number of Japanese immigrants among cities in the U.S. It turns out that the nearby city of Torrance has over 25% of its population made up of Japanese immigrants.

If you don't want to sit in the tiny 5 table dining area, you're unable to enjoy the overpriced ramen at home. I never liked the place, but my pregnant wife does.

This is the best ramen spot in the southbay. Totally worth driving from Redondo beach to Gardena. They let you customize your ramen much more than other places. Love the way they greet you when you walk in the door

It's one of our favorite places to dine in. They have plenty of dishes to choose from, but the most famous one is the ramen soup. They have lunch specials, and those are a must to check out. Prices are decent and defenetly worth the food.
Parking: It is located in a shopping center. Plenty of parking.
Kid-friendliness: Perfect for families.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp directly in front of their entrance from the parking lot.

This place is awesome. My wife and I have been coming here as our comfort spot for years now. I have been coming here for 5 years and each time the food, atmosphere and service is absolutely incredible. My wife and I love spicy food and the Diablo ramen is perfect. It’s the best kind of spice (most places just use a ton of chili powder) but here the spice is delicious and hot.
I recommend coming here with your friends and family on the weekends! The food tastes better and the service is better. They have an okay lunch special, but the food quality is lackluster at this time (We have a feeling that they reuse ingredients from the night before). Dinner time is when everything tastes much more fresh.

The food is amazing, I'm upset they don't have a to go option anymore. Overall this is the best Ramon food place in southern California.

"Shinsengumi Hakata Ramen" This chain store has never been my cup of tea. Today I tried this store with a high score on Google. The pork bone soup of the ramen tastes good, but unfortunately the quality is not very high. Their fried rice actually has added... Sauerkraut is fried, and the fried rice tastes a bit sour, which makes people feel weird. I still prefer traditional Japanese fried rice. All in all, the quality of the food at this restaurant is not bad, but not great either. I think there are some ramen restaurants in the area that are better than this one.

It's the best, the only thing I don't like is that's far from my place. But I do have one close to me.

A long-established Hakata ramen restaurant in Gardena. There are many delicious ramen restaurants in LA these days, but 20 years ago, when there weren't many options, I used to frequent them. It's open until late at night, so that's helpful!

This is easily the best tonkotsu ramen in Los Angeles! You can customize the ramen in over 100,000 different ways, but even just the default configuration beats every other ramen place in LA I've tried. Only one other place even comes close! Every side dish I've tried is also really good. This place is full of win.
