Terrible service.
Kid-friendliness: anti-child, anti-family establishment. actively dissuading people with children from entering.

Horrible- they charged us for the $60 set and gave us the $50 set meat instead. The shrimp was also very small and not the head on shrimp as depicted in the menu. Super disappointed by the staff as well who played loud videos on their cellphones in the background. It seems clear to me that they're taking unfair advantage of customers. Would not recommend.

Always a must go when in L A. They don't take reservations, and it's 1st come, but well worth it. The grilled intestines are the best.

Food is absolutely amazing! We had the ramen, the noodle plate, and a chicken and a beef bowl. Everything was really good, the wait was not long at all, the staff was very nice and friendly! Definitely check this place out!

I'm not an expert of yakitori by any means but I know good food. They are really solid. They have a crazy busy operation going on but people definitely seem to love it because they are definitely filling the place up! I went with my friend and we had a great time! Our favorites were the Kobe yakitori. SUPER tender! Like, I've been dreaming of that! Everything else we ordered was solid. We enjoyed the shishito peppers, the chicken karaage, the cucumber salad, the asparagus wrapped in bacon (I think?) was delicious!!! My friend thought the plain pork belly yakitori was just okay. We sat at the little bar area because all of the tables were filled but we didn't mind at all. It definitely added to the experience. The chicken yakitori with dots of wasabi was good but not my favorite. The gyoza was solid too. It was super loud in there because it's such a small space, plus they grill in front of everyone, which is super cool and they shout phrases in Japanese (I wish I knew what they were saying!). There were times where my friend and I both had to repeat ourselves because we couldn't hear each other and we were sitting next to each other. I've never been to Japan (not yet anyway) so, I'm unfamiliar with this type of eating environment. But we still had a really great time! Service was very fast! The staff is super kind and friendly! We just wished we had ordered more of the Kobe beef yakitori and wrapped asparagus yakitori!!! I'm still dreaming about them! I would definitely go back and try more of their items, but especially that Kobe steak and asparagus!!!!! We had a really fun time!!! Would definitely recommend!!! OISHII!!!!!

Love this yakitori place, which tastes and has an authentic feel. I really enjoyed the chicken and meat ball skewers. I used to work in the area and need to back to Gardena more often.

Awesome yakitori place, but the lunch menu is even better. Get one of the combo plates with chicken meatballs. And the cucumbers are the best. And I don't even like cucumbers.

Shinsengumi Yakitori is the best spot for authentic yakitori. The food is consistently delicious, capturing the true essence of Japanese cuisine. The service is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall experience. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, though it can get crowded. Highly recommend for anyone craving top-notch yakitori!
