Every bite was smoky, savory, and satisfying. The meat was absolutely good and so delicious. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone perfection. It was smoky and sweet, nicely seasoned just had the right kick. The side were generous and has nice quality of meat.

I had a taste for bbq and google pulled Smokin Johnnys up. This was my first time here. The cook/owner was very friendly. The BBQ was banging! For the meats, you’ll love it. I’ll definitely be back.

Haven't been in awhile, but had a craving for BBQ. Big mistake not craving it sooner. Other places have a long line and were featured on a TV show, but for me, this is the best BBQ in L.A. Been to all the others, and they're just lacking something, or are ridiculously priced. The brisket is among the best I've ever had and the ribs fall off the bone. The sauce is great, but don't need it. That's the sign of great BBQ. The sides set them apart from almost all the others. The beans are homemade with great flavor and the mac & cheese is incredible. Not the wiggly noodles with a can of cheese sauce poured over them like almost everybody else.
Since the last time I was there, there is no more indoor dining. It's grab and go. Nothing fancy. Just solid food and the owner (now running the place himself), is a heck of a nice guy.

My sister looked this BBQ place up on Google. In Los Angeles, it's newly open. She bought Brisket. She said the meat was good. She picked baked beans for her side. They put the sauce on the side a slice of bread.
