Order sake bombs. You won't regret it. Staff knows how to party! 🥳
Conveyor belt type restaurant. Price depends on the color of the plate, you can also order things if not on the conveyor . Made fresh almost instantly.
I love this place, especially the kani shrimp!!

Very energetic environment. Fish is always fresh. If you get there at opening, there's no waiting. The flow of customers is always constant,so if you do have to wait, it's never too long
Lovely place for sushi, we jumped for lunch. The portions were big for sure. It was good sushi…
Good place to try things you’ve never tried before.
Delicious food! We got 2 dishes to take away. Great sushi, this is my new fav spot in Gardena- you got to try it out!
Sumo sushi and rotating sushi bar have been operating in Gardena for over 40 years, and the food still rocks. Try the Tuna Poke Salad & the spicy yellowtail hand rolls. It's still a good place to eat and have fun.

This very popular neighborhood spot has been around for decades. It gets busy for dinner most days, and since it's located in a mini-mall, finding parking can be tough. Once inside, pull a seat at the sushi bar with one of the first sushi conveyor belts in the business. The sushi is wonderful. The fish is fresh daily, and the sushi chefs are lively and fun! If you're looking for a great time with some great sushi, try this place.
Parking: Limited parking in the lot.

There is very little selection here. Maybe only 5 different types of sushi were on the conveyor belt while I was there (in addition to edamame, gyoza, other appetizers, etc.) The chefs were making rolls continuously while I was there, but still, I only saw the same 5 types of rolls on the belt. I kept waiting for the chefs to add some different rolls to the belt, but it didn't happen. One worker was rude to me for no reason. I won't be returning. I'd rather go to Kura Sushi for more variety and friendlier workers.

Having checked in at Waka, 2.5 hour wait. We explored other conveyor about sushi restaurants in the area. We came across sumo sushi and were quickly sat at the revolving sushi bar. Beautiful selection of frequently turned over sushi rolls, edamame, shrimp, tempura, and many small appetizer plates. We had a sushi chef in front of us that made us some sashimi and ham rolls, very fresh and buttery tasting, tender fish. Prices we’re very reasonable and the service was very attentive.
