Food is OK depending what you get. There salads are WAY to expensive for the quantity. They give you very little toppings. An if you build your own salad you end up paying over 20 bucks because they charge so much for protein and any toppings in general. Their acai bowels are good, and unlimited toppings. But I will not be coming back to buy a salad. The salad I get from there I can get down the street at simply salad for only 15 dollars and their not stingy with their toppings. Customer service is great at toss up. But I don’t go out of my way to stop here. Simply salad is way more flavorful, and satisfying.

Wow, what a nice place, and who knew healthy eating was fast and delicious. I was welcomed by the owner,(Rick), prior to ordering. He gave me a thoughtful introduction to the restaurant with a complete run down of the menu options. The hospitality of the staff was so refreshing and appreciated. This was my first visit, but it was definitely not my last at The Toss up. 10 out of 10.Kid-friendliness: Spacious dining room, booths, and table options. TVs for a great distraction.

My wife and I were driving around looking for healthy lunch and found this gem! The service was impecable and the food on the healthy side tasted amazing and had great proportions. The staff was very welcoming and hospitable! Very patient for us first timers explaining their menu and suggestions. While we were deciding they provided us with various samples and every sample we had was great! This will be added to our family fave must frequent!

Was looking for a local healthy place to stop by for lunch and tired of the usual Simply Salad menu when I stumbled upon this place on google. Based on the reviews I decided to stop by. I am so glad that I did. The moment I walked in we were greeted like we were the Obamas! The owner spoke to us as we walked up to the counter, explained the menu items to us, and gave us samples. He was very personable in a way that felt like I was talking to someone who not only cared deeply for his business but us as his customers. The menu is large but not overwhelming. It’s just enough so that you try something and have something else in mind that you want to try the next time. Our salads were fresh, the dressings were unique, & DONT GET ME STARTED ON THAT CLAM CHOWDER. If I wasn’t trying so hard to unbig my back I would have gotten the stuffed bake potato. I will definitely be back and recommending this place to everyone I know. I wish I took a stack of their business cards, I would be passing them out everywhere lol

So I'm from out of town and came to visit family. They took me to this place, and baaaby..... I will most definitely make this one of my stops every time I visit. They welcome you when you first come in. The owner came out and greeted us as well and told me about their menu. Give me a few samples of their drinks. Their smoothies are awesome! I had the broccoli and cheese potato bowl and added chicken and bacon with sour cream on the side... OMG!! Yes!! Sooo good! My son ordered a kids meal which was a barbecue chicken wrap with honey mustard sauce on the side. He said this was the best wrap he ever had. This place was so good that I went back before I left to go get on the plane and got two more potatoes and a wrap to take home with me.They also have vegan stuff too I tried it. But if you're ever in California try this place out It's super good!Kid-friendliness: Yes!! In my experience they give the kids a Rice krispie treat if it's okay with the parents.
I used to love this place. The food is great, however I stopped going here because the ripped me off and I haven’t been able to go back just yet. They over charged my by $14 and when I inquired about the menu prices they told me the prices changed. A friend went in a week later and they charged him the price listed on the menu so it seems like the prices haven’t changed. If you go make sure to check the receipt because they are dishonest.

Forget everything you think you know about exceptional service. My fiance and I were out running errands on a Saturday. Decided to stop and grab a salad. To our amazement they were closed. Huh? Wait...we could see a man and a woman inside. The woman comes to the door and says...sorry we have some high level business to attend to but if you would like something to eat I'm happy to prepare it for you. Well of course we ordered. My fiance had the shrimp loaded potato. Literally two meals in one. So much food. I had the Baja salad. Yum! You get pita bread that has caramelized onions laced through the bread. Wow!The idea that a closed business would open its doors to serve (2) people blows my mind. This kind of service doesn't exist. We were so totally grateful and the food was amazing. I'm a customer for life!
