Best rafting company on the river, hands down. Amazing accommodations for campers and RV's, the kitchen staff makes great food, and the guides are cheerful and love to talk. If you want to go rafting on any fork of the American River, Whitewater Excitement is the only option.

Lovely little establishment in the middle of a quaint historical town and located in a historical Wells Fargo building from the 1800s! This place welcomes you like you just got home from a long trip. The food is delicious and they serve it up fast and you can even watch as they prepare it right in front of you. The open floor plan is very unique and it's reminiscent of what it would have been like to be in the 1800's coming in for a warm meal after spending weeks or even months out on the diggins. I would highly recommend this wonderful sense of community and genuine cultural and historical experience.
