We've only been twice & it was great each time! The first time I got the birria torta and it was super good and then this time we just stopped in for a drink we got the micheladas and I should have remembered this but the micheladas come with two shrimps and some celery and cucumber it's like a full-on meal there and the manager let me taste some of the goat they make there it's super good 👍🏼

We were thrilled to discover that the old Chevy’s establishment was transforming into a Birrieria. We decided to visit on a Sunday for lunch. My husband, who enjoys goat meat, and I, who doesn’t, decided to order both. Surprisingly, both dishes received positive feedback. He opted for the Birria surtida de chivo (goat), while I chose the beef birria tacos with consomé. We also tried their menudo with pata (beef hoof), but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. The flavor was lacking, and the meat, particularly the pata, was not tender. Despite this minor setback, we still enjoyed our overall experience at the Birrieria and plan to return to explore their other offerings.

Love their Birria. Been to the Castroville location many times. Of course was discovered here at the Watsonville flea market many moons ago. Anyways, was in Gilroy doing some shopping and I remembered their new location is opened now in Gilroy. I am so glad the recipe taste the same. Homemade tortillas and Birria were spot on. Location is a little hidden, behind a Chevron gas station and some hotel next door.

Great for parties! We had our company Christmas party there 100 + employees. Everything was fantastic. Luis and his staff made everything run smoothly and buffet line went quick. Appetizers: aguachiles: rojo y negro, ceviche: pescado y camaron Cena: birria de res, chile verde, chicken fajitas, rice & beans Salads: mixed greens & macaroni Deserts: flan & vanilla ice cream The food was DELICIOUS & their drinks, aguas frescas were refreshing !!! The service was absolutely impeccable! On weekends they also have delicious Menudo. This place is just a great place to dine. SABROSO... SABOR YUM!!!

The quesabirria was delicious. Flavor was good. Queso was grilled and crispy. Came with 3 tacos.
The place looks amazing inside and out. Our food came out quickly, and the service was very attentive. The birria de borrego was really good, and the birria de res was great as well. The only downsides were that the aguas frescas were bland and the queso fundido didn’t come with any tortillas or chips. I’d still definitely recommend the sampler platter and the birria ramen. The red salsa is really good!

We have watched this place being built out for what seems like years. At one point we didn't think they were going to open but thankfully they did. Our vlfiest visit was a wonderful experience. The staff were all very friendly and the service was fantastic. The prices were very fair and the food was served very fast l, like surprisingly fast as they were pretty busy when we were there. The food itself we thought was fantastic. The meat was nice and tender and the serving portion was very generous. We will definitely add this to our rotation of date night visits and hope the experiences in the future match our first. Overlap, a great first visit!
