The Mill at Glen Ellen

We had a great meal , we are vegan so you never know. Even if everyone seems to be on the same page with that sometimes things go wrong. But at the Mill every thing was perfect. The food, service and they recommended a great bottle of wine. They also had a few other favorites that they gave us tastings of. It was a quiet night at the restaurant and I noticed another couple come in for dinner, that gave some of the staff hugs. A local favorite! We have been on a road trip with our elderly dog for about 8 weeks. Nice to find a restaurant with a home like feel. And checkout the location, lots of history and a creek running through the area.

My husband and I enjoyed a Saturday night dinner at The Mill for the first time last weekend. A friend said it is her favorite restaurant, and we went on her recommendation. We loved it! The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful without being intrusive. The food was innovative, delicious and attractively presented. My husband had a new Szechuan noodle dish, and I enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli. Flatbread with roasted chickpeas was a tasty, unusual appetizer, and the warm chocolate cake at the end of the meal was just the ticket for this chocolate-only dessert lover! The Mill has three dining areas, so guests can be distributed between rooms, keeping the restaurant pleasantly quiet. We look forward to going back soon!

BLT and Salmon sandwiches were delicious. Service was perfect. Entire staff is friendly. Great experience!

A very special place. Feels like being welcomed into a family when you step into the restaurant.

This was the standout experience of our trip! Looks pretty unassuming, but the creativity and attention to the craft of cooking is stellar. We were a party of six and ordered a variety of dishes. All were terrific (except for the pizza which was just okay). The noodle soup and the vegetarian croquettes were so good. And the bread appetizer dish is something I think about regularly. Order that for sure. Sounds simple, but the flavor combo is fantastic! Also, the service was impeccable. Even though we were a party of six, and the appetizer technically feeds four, they just added on a couple pieces and didn't charge us extra. We definitely appreciated that.

The Mill  is a charming restaurant with such delicious food, the most attentive staff and in the summertime you can sit out on the patio and listen to the small brook run by or in the winter time sit near the fireplace.  It's one of our favorite little Restaurants that's tucked away and you wouldn't know about it unless someone told you about it. The owners are super nice and really want you to have a wonderful experience and we always do.

They did an amazing job with our toddler. It was the best meal we have had with our daughter, EVER. The staff was amazing and the food somehow even better. 12/10 recommend.

Lovely place to stop for lunch, by the river. The restaurant is located at an actual old mill, and the whole setting is charming. Inside is cozy with a fireplace. And outside you can eat on the deck and hear the river. Every server I encountered was helpful and friendly. I ate the wagyu burger and my girlfriend enjoyed the clam chowder. Both were delicious. I'd love to come back. Exceptional.

I rarely get around to posting a review, but I couldn’t pass up doing one on the incredible experience we had. We were with a party of 6 and each one of us raved about our meal choice. The service was outstanding, which made the entire evening perfect! Don’t miss this gem!

The staff was very nice, and they did have a notice at the table to not be in a rush;however it took almost an hour and a half for our food to arrive. This was at lunch time. The food ended up being so so. We honestly just couldn’t enjoy it because we were now going to be late for a tasting appointment. We would never come back here based on our first experience.
