Henry was so hospitable to me and i'm just a driver. my guests are members here, and they loved this winery, because of the wonderful alfresco tasting, and a variety of award winning wines.
Went to a first pressing event in Fall of 2023 and had a great time. Mostly posting this review to upload 2025's price list. It's not on their website (so one star deduction) and I was looking at ordering a case. 4 stars because the wine we had in 2023 was beautiful.
We had an excellent time today,Mothers Day! Kyle was so accommodating and knowledgeable! The wine tastings were great and we were treated like Royalty..Everything about our visit was spectacular! We will highly recommend this winery for tasting to our friends!
Great tasting experience yesterday with Mike at Wellington. Very knowledgeable about his products, about wine, and about the differences in different parts of the property! Very fun experience for my wife and myself. The wine is awesome also!
Stopped here with Platypus wine tour. Wine was decent. I didn’t learn much about the vineyard but it was very pretty!
Andreas and Maria hosted us. Andreas was very knowledgeable about the estate's wines and we felt very attended to. Maria was lovely and helpful and invited us to return often. The wines were very good and the tasting room was impressive. I have found the visit to be exceptional among the many we have enjoyed over the years. Well done!
Beautiful vineyard with delicious wines. Highly recommend a tasting.
We visited Wellington Cellars after receiving a free tasting voucher at Gaige House, hoping for a relaxing experience.
Unfortunately, the tasting host became overly talkative, inundating us with stories throughout the tasting. We felt unable to savor the wines or enjoy any quiet conversation with my partner.
The pressure to purchase became particularly uncomfortable at the end. Despite politely declining a bottle purchase several times, the host persisted, creating an awkward and ultimately guilt-inducing situation. This culminated in our feeling obligated to buy a bottle just to end the interaction. We left feeling pressured and disappointed, with the enjoyment of our evening diminished.
While the wines themselves may be not bad, our experience was detracted from by the overly sales-focused approach. Even after we finally agreed to buy a bottle, the host continued to inquire about purchasing additional bottles, making us feel further pressured and rushed.
Didn't visit them if you want to have a quiet tasting experience with zero pressure to buy!
Off the beaten path - charming winery. Lovely decor and wonderful staff! But of course the wine ! Great Sangiovese !
We had a private tour of the winery with Mike and he was so enthusiastic and informative about the wine making process from beginning to end. He introduced us to Tom, the winemaker and vineyard manager, who was also very informative and friendly. The wines we tasted were excellent and to cap it off, through our hotel concierge, they set up the tasting menu to honor our 42 year wedding anniversary, a great touch!! We bought some wines to be sent home and look forward to sharing them with family and friends. A fantastic day!! Highly recommended.
