Worst location in LA by far. The service is not good at all compared to the other locations.

Love Din Tai Fung, but this location has consistently had abysmal service. I made a rez for my bday dinner in July 2024 and still waited 40 min for a table. Recently, I waited in the bar line for over an hour and was turned away from the restaurant bc I forgot my drivers license (had a physical photo ID and photo of my passport). When I first brought up to staff I forgot ID they said not worry, we’d be able to eat. Needless to say: we were never seated and ghosted by the Manager who said she’d look into a solution. We were told takeout would take 30 min only to open the website and be quoted 60 minutes for takeout and we ultimately had to skip dinner after wasting 2 hours waiting. This service was so bad I was literally compelled to make my first and only Google review, because wtf? If you’re not gong to serve me tell me so I can eat elsewhere, like truly 0/10 experience, the food is not worth the nightmare of the Galleria location.

The inside of the restaurant is very grand and dramatic and I absolutely love it
I've been to several of their locations in Southern California, California and We bravely went to the one in Glendale on a Friday afternoon without a reservation and we really only had to wait about 20 minutes .
I know it's silly, but the cucumbers on the menu is one of my favorite things ever, I make it own myself now. The soup dumplings let their most famous for absolutely worth ordering. We shared a couple buns and shumai. Everything we had was really delicious. And our server Corey was definitely on top of it. He was a very fast talker and Walker.
Highly recommend this place

The Xiao Long Bao (Dumplings) are so fresh and tasty, it’s addicting. Spicy noodles, pork chop fried rice, sweet and sour pork baby backs, and fresh jasmine tea are incomparable to any! Every time I go, it’s just as good, if not better.

Got the Chicken Xiao Long Bao and the tops were undercooked and a bit flavorless and not really hot when I took a bite. My partner didn’t care cause he was hungry so I would’ve just eaten the seasame noodles but the sauce was like burnt muddy flavorless. That was a 0/10 Kinda ruined the whole experience and it was a birthday dinner. They tired to accommodate but unfortunately an hour drive and waited about two hours to be seated than 25 mins for food total of 3 hours just eat here to leave hungry and find food somewhere else.
Than you had a group behind us who were clearly drunk. One guy kicked the chair of some lady while he was walking by trembling plus the food wasn’t good so just wanted to leave asap.
Do want to say sorry to Marissa and apologize. I know they were trying but unfortunately I felt uncomfortable and wanted to just leave.

Bartenders, servers were friendly and attentive and atmosphere is great. I have had Din Tai Fung several times in multiple cities. For some reason the food at this location lacks flavor compared to the others.

I had dinner in Din Tai Fung and it was so worth it. It needed to be booked with more than a week in advance.
We ordered some Xiao long bao of pork meat (the one I liked the most) and some of crab (which my boyfriend loved), pork meat dumplings with shrimp, pork meat with shrimp pot stickers, wontons filled with pork meat and shrimp and the spicy noodle with sesame and peanut sauce.
Everything I ate was good!! But the Xiao long bao and the pot stickers (from the picture) were specially good, I loved them so much. The spicy oil has a great taste.

I come to this location at least once a week and recently had Jazelle as a server. She was an absolute GEM. She was so friendly, so attentive, so fun. She made the whole experience even better. Hopefully I get her next time I come as well

I took my daughter and son-in-law to Din Tai Fung for my daughter’s birthday, and it was fantastic. We ordered a bunch of things to share - including, of course, the signature soup dumplings. I had never eaten Taiwanese food before, but, definitely, will be going back soon.
The service was wonderful and the prices were moderate.
My daughter and son-in-law had eaten there before, but told me that it was much more fun to go with a group —as you can share more dishes.

The xiao long bao dumplings are twisted so the top skins are hard. Also a bit flavorless... The steamed bun meat was a meatball and it was not tasty. The noodles were delicious and their texture was on point, nice chewy noodles that were the perfect thickness. There are many layers to the flavor of the braised beef noodle broth. The chocolate dumplings came with a salty cream to balance out the sweetness. It is filled with melted chocolate. Customer service is good. They are very busy. Very expensive for the quality. They did accommodate us for our reservation.

Love this place. The food and service are great every time. Rhealyn was great. Definitely try the pear lychee martini, hot and sour soup, chocolate mochi with sea salt cream, and the xiao long baos!

One of my few bad reviews. These are PSA's in my view. I've been hearing so much about this place. Mostly good. Not sure why. We ordered five entrees for pickup. The food is fine. Not great. The portions are small. And unless you enjoy walking around an entire mall outdoors on a cold night, with little direction as to where you might have parked your car, don't come here unless JC Penny is open. If they are closed, then put on your walking shoes. Oh, and they forgot our drinks when we picked up our food. Not great. Probably not returning anytime soon.

If there is the definition of an all 5-Star location.
Then ladies and gentlemen that would be this restaurant. This is definitely one of the best 5 full star locations I have ever been to. May I imply that there is heavy foot traffic here on the weekends and from tourism. Maybe a clear podium outside with a fresh batch of ribs so people may smell one dish that I know will attract anyone who dares.
