Gen KBBQ is easily our favorite chain KBBQ restaurant. Their all-you-can-eat pricing is hard to beat, and the sheer size of the menu means there’s always something new to try. Everything comes out fast, the cuts are solid for AYCE, and you never feel rushed.
It’s the perfect spot when we want great value, tons of options, and an easy, consistent experience. For chain KBBQ, Gen sets the bar.

We've been here numerous times, and most of our experiences have been incredible. One particular server, Angel, always greets us with the upmost hospitality. Everytime we arrive and he's working, he remembers our orders. Another individual whom I deem deserves praise is the male manager with glasses, he's taken great care of us and when in a busy rush--forgot our drinks, but he did us the courtesy of comping them without us even asking, without us ever complaining. Now that i've finished glazing, lets get to the food. Not a huge selection of side options, but they have a great variety of proteins and most of them are high quality and tender. The only item I can't recommend is the hawaiian steak, everytime when it's served it looks a little gelatinous, that may be from the acidity of the pineapple--which my partner unfortunately did get food poisoning from. Although this one situation does not define this establishment as a whole, every other time we've visited it has been very pleasant and satisfying. I can agree with some of the reviewers mentioning the smoke--although that's something they can't quite help--they have plenty of ventilation to combat that. In addition, please just cook one meat at a time. Parking is convenient, under 1 hour is free, and beyond that it's 2 dollars for every hour. (I think.) Overall, convenient place, in a convenient area. Great service, amazing drinks, and very nostalgic. Would give it a strong 7.5/10.

There are alot of Gen bbq, but this one has a bad policy about their meats. You can only order 4 meats at a time, which I don't mind but what bothers me is they all have to be different. You cannot order 2 or 3 or 4 of the same meat. What kind of BS is that. I've never heard of any other Korean BBQ place doing that.

Gen Korean BBQ – All-You-Can-Eat Bliss with Tabletop Grilling!
This place is a carnivore’s dream! You grill your own meats right at the table, and every bite is hot, juicy, and packed with flavor. The bulgogi was to die for. It was tender, perfectly marinated, and so addictive I kept going back for more (until I literally felt like I was going to pop!). Our server Robert was wonderful. He was super attentive, quick with refills, and full of great recommendations. He made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is modern, fun, and open, with big bright windows that let in tons of natural light. It feels lively but not overwhelming. Bonus: there’s a parking garage right there, so getting in and out is a breeze. If you love Korean BBQ and interactive dining, Gen is a must-visit. Bring your appetite – you’ll need it! 🔥🥩🍴

I was really disappointed in Gen Kbbq after they visited Seoul park for the Korean festival this past weekend, I bought their bulgogi fries and paid $24 for a small batch of food, the fries were as hard as rocks I couldn’t bare to eat them they were completely inedible.

Gen has great food. But the service sucks. It’s slow, there’s not a lot of communication. It’s obviously understaffed. The workers seem unorganized and no sense of structure. I would be going a lot more if the service was good and faster pace. They need to fix their management and structure.
We have missed this place a lot aince we moved out of Glendale. There are no Korean BBQs in Fresno. The food is the best

I was there yesterday 10/01/25 with my son it was not busy. Slow service waited like 25 minutes to get food and drinks we ordered came after we were done eating asked for the check gave waiter my card signed the check my card was never given back I tried calling and calling even the following day during business hours and no one ever answered so my card was stollen by who ever was the host. Too $$$ for the service and quality

The cuts were pretty good, some needed a little more seasoning I liked their glass noodles as a side. The food was good but our waitress didn't pay attention to us we had to ask for multiple refills from other staff along with other sauses we wanted. She seemed mad and wasn't very attentive, I don't know what her problem was. Other than her I would recommend the place to eat very affordable and good atmosphere
