Hang Loose Hawaiian Shave Ice

Shaved ice didnt have much flavor. was very disappointed. my girlfriend got kakigori and it made her ill. would not recommend.

First time there... easy to order but I didn't like it. It looks better than it tasted. Parking is very limited, street only.

Got racially profiled by the workers on February 9th in the evening. Those workers aren’t a good representation of what a good establishment should be. Do better :)

Ordered 14 dollars worth of stuff through a third party app (two surprise bags), only received three tiny croissants. Horrible, rude, ignorant, and oblivious customer service was provided. Please inform your workers about the app called “TooGoodToGo.” Date was February 9th, around 8 pm ish, inform those specific employees.

I’m so sad and disappointed by this shave ice. Hawaiian shave ice is one of my favorite things and has been since my first trip to Maui. I seek places with organic and natural flavors so I was really excited that they had them on the menu. I went twice wanting organic mango and lemon/lime, but both times they didn’t have them. I decided to give it a try anyways today and settled on a medium raspberry, pink lemonade, and pineapple, but none of the flavors were detected or distinguishable. Truly the worst syrups I’ve tried and cost $12 including tax and tip.

The Hawaiian Shaved Ice here is awesome!!! It was delicious, amazing flavors, and the toppings and the ice cream with it was just fantastic on a warm summer night! It was great, my niece, sister, dad and I all had a blast and enjoyed every last drop and ice flake. Definitely going to go back and recommend to all my friends!!! Thanks!!!

Portions are huge. Medium was $6.99 and honestly I could not eat half of it. Shaved ice is perfect like snow and the toppings seem to be refrigerated so they didn’t melt the shaved ice, the flavors just merged with the ice perfectly.

UPDATE: I came a second time on a sunny day and really enjoyed the shaved ice. They make great ones, and I particularly liked that you can get free condensed milk and Li Hing (sp?) powder on top. I saw their response to my initial review that they close on rainy days, and I totally understand wanting to close with business slow, and now I know not to come when it's raining, but it's really not cool for people who walk through the rain to get there without knowing. A note on the door about the closure and reason for it would be helpful in the future.Prior Review: Drove 15 minutes to get here and got my son pumped for some shaved ice. There was no parking nearby so we parked a block away and walked through the rain. Then the place was closed with no note, even though it was an hour before closing time. Because there was no note, we waited a while in the cold for it to open, and no dice. :(

This is one of my daughter’s favorite places to go to. The shop itself is small and narrow and can get a little crowded but they do offer outside seating that even has holders for your shaved ice. The shaved ice is one of the best I’ve had outside of Hawaii. They have just about every flavor you could ask for and even offer some sugar free flavors, and there are plenty of other toppings to f you want add them. Portions are gigantic so you can share with someone if you can agree on flavors. Highly recommend if you liked shaved ice, looking for something different for sweet cravings, or when it’s hot outside it can be refreshing treat.
