How the mighty have fallen.I’ve been going here for about 8 years but I won’t be going back. They changed the menu, raised the prices, made smaller rolls and the atmosphere is weird now. They were playing weird hip hop fairly loud in an nearly empty place.The food quality has gone down too. A couple bites were just... weirdly fishy.Time to find a new spot and that’s a shame. Wish it didn’t change.

Awesome time here. We had some of the best Japanese food ever. Quite pricey but it was all worth it. Highly recommending their teriyaki chicken. Lovely Asian themed setup. You could order seafood from their chiller and they are as fresh as they come. Service was fast & furious.♿ - Roomy and PWD friendly.

Ichiban is now Sushi Story. The sushi rolls were amazing and fresh. The service was great. Sushi chefs were so nice and gave great suggestions.

Ichiban has been apart of the Glendale neighborhood for many years. I remember when I was just in elementary school, my parents and I would go here for lunch after church on Sundays. A decade has passed and in those years, I've visited a handful of times. It seems that management had been juggled / passed around since the last owner and staff that I was very familiar with. Though it saddened me that management changed, I have to admit, the sushi quality has highly improved. It has improved so much that I felt guilty for spending so much more money at a nearby, high-end sushi joint, when I could've went here for better quality food and affordable pricing. I would recommend their spicy tuna roll, fatty salmon nigiri, and fatty yellowtail nigiri. Their fish will M E L T in your mouth. To my locals - visit ichiban and welcome their new delicious management!

Very cute little place! Location is good and plenty of parking in the public garage. I had a sushi roll with spicy tuna and tempura. It was so delicious. My daughter had the chicken teriyaki with salmon lunch plate. It was also very good. Price is average and you get good service here.
